Summary:

If you're looking for a mortgage broker with intelligence, tenacity, foresight, and even knows the requirements for a PUD (planned unit development), then go nowhere else but to Robert! He knows and communicates on day one what the bank will require, how long they will need to process, and what the must be included on the appraisal. He got me a great rate, answered all of my questions, and really pushed hard to get my closing done in a timely manner, even when obstacles were thrown in by the bank and appraiser. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a native of Connecticut, and completed my education with a B.S. in Economics from Trinity College, in Hartford CT.

As President of my company, I have positioned Polaris to allow for extremely competitive rates and closing costs to our cliental. As a result of our low rates and closing costs, we consistently close multi-million dollar volume each month.

Although our main office is located in central Connecticut, I am especially active working with clients in the metro-Boston area, in addition to Southern Florida (Miami), and travel quite frequently to meet my clients' needs.  We facilitate financing for a vast spectrum of clients, from first-time-home buyers in metro-Boston, to jumbo loans in Fairfield County CT, to high-rise luxury condo vacation-home purchases in Miami.  

My staff and I hope to have the opportunity to work closely with you from our initial contact to closing!

My hardworking parents immigrated from Europe and raised me in a very strict fashion. I began my college studies as a pre-med student, but soon realized I loved Economics and business-related material because I was a "numbers guy". I put myself through college by working for Aetna Ambulance as an Emergency Medical Technician for 4 years. Screaming through the streets of Hartford with lights and sirens by night, classes and studies by day!

After college, I found myself working for a large national mortgage lender, and then in a regional mortgage brokerage firm, learning the residential financing business. Within a few years I founded my first mortgage company with a partner. I quickly learned why most business partnerships do not work out, and founded Polaris Funding Group in 2007.  I also founded Polaris Insurance in 2008, an independent insurance agency specializing in auto, home, and commercial/business lines of insurance.  


Personal hobbies include ballroom dancing with my wife, Monika, long distance running (15-20 miles per week) including crazy adventure races (Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, etc), and playing my guitar with everything from Spanish guitar pieces by Francisco Tarrega, to classic rock arrangements by the Beatles. I used to be involved in mixed martial arts and full-contact kick-boxing.  I have a three year old daughter, Isabella, who is the love of my life and has me wrapped around her little pinkie.  All you dad's with little girls know exactly what I'm talking about.
