I recently closed on the refinance of my home and I am posting this review to highly recommend Robert Szumilas and Polaris Funding. I made the initial decision to go with Robert at Polaris Funding for a number of reasons, he provided one of the lowest rates and overall costs from the multiple quotes I received, he had received numerous high ratings and great reviews, and he was prompt in his responses to my questions both via return email and phone calls. I had some initial apprehension regarding Robert's primary CT office location and the fact that he didn't have an office close to Boston. This turned out to be a non-issue because I was able to securely submit my information to him via his website and via fax as needed. Robert has a great demeanor, and is very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer my detailed questions throughout the process, provided me with an accurate truth in lending statement early on, and worked with me to ensure that we kept closing costs at or below what he had projected. The closing process went very smoothly and I was in and out in under an hour. Robert and Claribel at Polaris were a pleasure to work with and I am extremely pleased with the level of service and support they provided. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking to refinance a home in the New England area.

This is the third refinance I've done, and the best so far. Great service, speed, and rates - which is, after all, the point! Aligns himself with some outstanding attorneys who all give personal service, the best experience I could hope for. No nonsense, just results. Excellent!!

I was a first time home buyer. I found Robert using BBB.ORG website. I end up buying my home mortgage as well as my auto/home insurance through him. Even though I was a first time home buyer, buying a short sale property, my closing and home mortgage was very smooth. Robert did an excellent job on my home mortgage as well as on my auto/home insurance. Not only Robert but his staff members are also well qualified. Most of my home mortgage paper work was handled by Claribel (staff member) and most of my auto/home insurance was handled by Josh(staff member). All of them help me to secure the best possible mortgage and auto/home insurance. In short, Robert will deliver what he promises.

My goal was to seek a lender that would provide me with a rate that would allow me to save x amount of dollars a month and I feel that Robert met that goal during these hard economic times. The Polaris Funding Group provided me with quality customer service and professionalism during my refinance process. Robert and his staff worked hard for me from day one until the day we closed and were always available for any questions that I had. I am extremely satisfied with my rate and savings, I highly recommend The Polaris Funding Group.

This was the first time we have worked with a mortgage broker. We were hesititant at first but Robert made the experience very easy and transparent. He was very honest and upfront from the beginning until the end. We were very happy with the rate that Robert got for us. It was better than I could get with my employer who is one of the top banks in the country. We would work with Robert again and in fact we will have him take a look at our insurance policies.
