If you are looking to purchase a short sale home for a low price, don't even bother. I was looking at a home that was on the market for about 7 months. I got a showing of the house and contacted Scott to put in an offer on a Friday. I knew that this was not going to be on the market much longer. I never got a response, so I called back on Monday to try and put in an offer. He stated he was going to send me an offer sheet. Never got an email or a response. I contacted the actual listing agent, and they stated that someone had just put in an offer on Monday. You can see how pissed off I was when I found this out.

We apologize for the experience that you had however the terms in which you wanted to write an offer would not have been acceptable in a short sale scenario. All buyer's must have a pre-qualification letter at the time of offer submission or the seller will not consider the offer. We wished we could have had the opportunity to find you a home however I do not think you wanted to give us a chance to help you any further. We wish you the best of luck with any home and agent that you find.

Alex and Scott were very attentive to our needs(even when we weren't exactly sure what they were). We looked at countless homes for quite a long time before finding the right place. We never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision.
Very professionald and knowledgeable, and did I mention very personable and fun to work with? I'd highly recommend anyone interested in looking into purchasing a home contact Alex and Scott.

Alex is knowledgable about real estate realities and focused on results. He recommended a stager who advised how to present our home, and he secured a professional photographer who is the best in the business. In a concise and thorough manner, Alex gave us a range of considerations, then devoted his energy to working with our decisions. He is upbeat and professional, and we recommend his services.

What a fantastic experience ... Scott and Alex were a perfect team at finding me a home. From the beginning, I knew I had to be painfully honest if they were going to find me the perfect home so I was clear about my criteria. I received daily emails with new listings that met some of my criteria and scheduled to see some of them. Then one day, Alex sends me an email with the most beautiful home .. .at least in pictures, and now I live in that dream.
Finding the home didn't end the process, Alex did everything possible to ensure the home closed on time from scheduling appointments for inspections and getting estimates on repairs. Even after I moved in the home, he guided me in getting the gas burning fireplace going.
I'm not looking for a home anytime in the near future, but I highly recommend using Alex.

Alex Phan and his team were really great when we needed to short sell our house. Alex has expert knowledge of the short sale process and his professionlism made a very difficult and stressful process as easy as it could be. Alex kept us informed every step of the way, from the first week of listing (when we received two offers), all the way through closing. His upbeat and very positive energy was always reassuring.
I can highly recomend Alex and his team.

Alex and his team specialize in Short Sales. They were professional and kept me informed every step of the process. Alex was very interested in making a difficult experience easier for us. I would recommend him for first choice for any Real Estate need. I feel like we have gained a friend as well as an agent.

Scott showed us about 20 homes over a 7 months time span. Was always patient and encouraging. A lot of times he had to drive across town on rush hour and was always more than happy. One occasion he showed us a home at 6 am because it was the only time that worked for us. Both Scott and Alex were very knowledgeable and readily available to answer any questions anytime. Would highly recommend. A++++

We worked with Alexander Phan of Keller Williams Realty during our process of searching for our first home. We looked at everything from re-sale, short sales, and foreclosures. Alex quickly understood what was most important to us and showed us a new construction community in Beaverton that had all the finishes and things we wanted in a house. We looked at the few model homes they had, got to pick our floorplan we liked best and then chose the lot we wanted to build on. The entire process of a new construction home took about 5 months but we got to choose everything from the floor, carpeting, custom add-ons, tile work, and exterior paint color. The builder was sometimes not that great but Alex was always on our side to make sure the things we wanted were getting done. In the end we are very happy with our new home and would recommend Alex and his team if you are thinking of buying a home.

Alex helped me find my perfect home last year. I was a first time home buyer, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Alex had taken me out to see so many homes on many weekends. I had a certain criteria in mind for my future home and just could not find one that fit. Eventually we wrote offers on homes, but were unable to get an accepted offer for one reason or another. This was not to Alex's fault at all, but it was a very frustrating process for my husband and I. Ultimately, I am happy those deals fell through because Alex helped us find a new home that was still under construction. He was able to negotiate an awesome deal for us and I was able to pick out every single finish on my brand new house and make custom upgrade changes as requested. In the end, I have my dream custom home and I honestly could not be any happier with our house.
I would highly recommended Phan Hall & Associates to anyone who is looking to buy or sell. They are extremely knowledgable with the real estate market and the Portland metro area. I would consider myself to be a very analytical person who does a great deal of research before a big purchase, but I was surprised on how little I knew about the buying process that Alex and Dion (loan officer) was able to teach me. One of the great tools I found helpful was the www.portlandshortsales.com website. After spending hours looking at homes, the website would send me daily emails with newly listed homes that I might like similar to what I had been searching. I was excited to receive that email every morning around 9am. I loved the website and would highly recommend anyone who is house hunting to sign up. I still continue to receive these emails because I like to see how my house value compares to newly listed homes =)

03/28/2013 - user4324310Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $100K in Beaverton, OR.
From day one, Alex was very responsive. I went into the process with no idea what to expect and Alex cured that within minutes of speaking to him. His entire team was helpful, professional, and great to work with. We had a couple of buyers fall through at the last minute and not even for a second did they give up. Both times, new offers were written up the same day and we were continuing on with the process. In the end, we achieved our goal of short selling my condo and I could not be more pleased with the group of people who made that happen.
