Sold a home in 2015.

My home has been SOLD! After 12 months and two realtors, I went to the Real Estate Brothers in need of a short sale. I met with Nathan Volz. After about 15 minutes, Nathan told me that I did not need to short sale my home. He would sell it. I was reluctant because I had been told the same thing by my two realtors before. I was told in order to sell my home I would need to upgrade my kitchen, bathroom and possibly my driveway! All this time, I thought my 4 bedroom, one and a half bath ranch home was in great condition for a first-time home buyer. Nathan meant business; he proved that to me a week and a half later with an offer for my home. A week and a half!? I could not believe that he had an offer so quickly after what I had experienced with previous realtors. Now there were some personal issues with my home. The home was left to me by my deceased mother. I had to do several things in order to continue with the sale. Not only was this a stressful process for me, I know that it had to have been difficult for Nathan to trust that I would do everything required of me as far as getting the correct documents to the right people and places. Nathan's patience, support and consistent communication, on a daily basis, was everything I was hoping to have received initially when I started the process of putting my home on the market. I read reviews about real estate companies and agents and I thought that was the customer service I would receive from the beginning. Unfortunately it was not. It was also unfortunate for my wallet. It took 12 months to find the right realtor, just in time before my home was about to undergo foreclosure. I am undoubtedly grateful for Nathan and his team, who collectively were able to bring my home back to life. I would advise anyone looking to sell their home to contact the Real Estate Brothers, absolutely, without a question in my mind. And if you are unsure, take the time to meet them and see for yourself their commitment, their energy and their willingness to provide excellent customer service for those looking to close one chapter and begin the next. I cannot thank them enough for all of their help.

Bought a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $275K in Kempsville, Virginia Beach, VA.

Nathan was professional, knowledgable, and committed to finding our first home. After discussing our budget, wants, and needs, Nathan delivered, and after viewing only 3 homes, we found our perfect home! He made the process stress-free, easy, and fun. He delivered our offer so beautifully, and to our relief, the seller did not come back with a counter-offer. We closed on our contracted closing date and could not be happier. Nathan is honest, professional, and dedicated and we highly recommend his service.

Bought a Condo home in 2015 for approximately $150K in Kempsville, Virginia Beach, VA.
Primary point of contact: Kelly

Kelly responded very fast and was a very helpful guide through the purchasing process. We signed on with Real Estate Brothers at the beginning of the month and closed on a new home by the end of the month. There were some minor repairs needed on the house that were successfully negotiated and made before purchase. Closing went smoothly and we were contacted shortly after closing to make sure everything was OK.

Sold a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $225K in Norfolk, VA.

In the real estate industry the level of customer service and communication between buyer/seller and agent, in the beginning, typically has a lot of rigor, all the right words are being said, and everything sounds like a match made in heaven. You feel like this is the agent for you and that they will make it their life mission to find your dream home and fight for a price that’s a fraction of what you wanted to pay or find a buyer to sell your home to, and then close a deal in 30 days or less. But after a few weeks it’s basically silence on the line. You can’t get ahold of anyone, the emails/updates stop coming, you don’t know what’s happening, the properties you’re getting emailed to you are sub-standard or you haven’t had a potential buyer come look at your home in weeks. I’m certain anyone reading this has experienced or heard of all and more of what I’ve described here. I’ve worked with Gene and Dawn for the last +6.5 months on a short sale. I was going through a divorce and had to relocate myself and my small son to an entirely new city but needed to sell my marital home. In my case, I’m not from this area and knew no one where I moved. There are MANY other elements to my horror story but let me tell you, through it all Gene and Dawn WERE THERE!!! I never went a week without a call, an email, a whistle blow, a kite being flown my way or something. There was an element of intellect, understanding of the business, understanding of how to negotiate with the lender, underwriter, dedication, customer service, communication, and comfort that they gave to me during this time of chaos, that could NEVER be duplicated by another agent(s). I’m certain over the +6.5 month period I asked (literally) over 100 questions (just ask Dawn, she will confirm I asked this many questions). There was never a time I didn’t receive a timely answer (I’m talking almost same day answers) and if it wasn’t something she or Gene could answer readily, they went on a search and seizure to find it and bring it back to me (I mean they were like pit bulls to meet my needs and I say this in the most admirable and professional way possible). This team, in no short order, were faced with my lender trying to FORCE me into a +$30,000 promissory note. After their “take no prisoners attitude, I will fight for my client to the death, with a bright smile and fabulous writing ink pen”) I was able move forward with the lender conceding that I did “NOT” have to sign the promissory note! They’ve always been a listening ear to my complaints or struggles with the process and have always given me compassionate and sound advice (Here’s Dawn when I got the news about the REAL potential of a promissory note) ”Don’t worry about this, it’s the holiday’s spend time with your son, please try to relax, I’ve GOT this! We will NOT give up, we will fight until we can fight no more, but let me bare this burden for you, let me and Gene fight for you! We will not let any stone go unturned, Jennifer is not giving them an inch to move forward with this, she is doing EVERYTHING she can. We WILL stay on top of them and NOT let this happen to you!!! Please have a happy holiday and try to relax and rest.” Unbeknownst to her, I cried for quite a while after I hung up from her, she truly had no idea how she had brightened my day. Because of my family situation at the time, I was in ruin, but she truly gave me a bright light to hold on to. Fast forward to the end of my long journey, Gene and Dawn have been nothing short of a BLESSING. When it’s my time to purchase or sell again or refer an agent that brings quality service, brings consistent dedication to the needs of a buyer or seller…it will be Gene and Dawn that I go to or it will be there names that I give to someone else. In closing, when I started looking for an agent, there were literally 100’s of reviews about Gene and Dawn. They were all amazing but one was a tipping point. It was a review from a military officer who had to relocate, do a short sale, buy a new home and move his family across country. He spoke in detail about his HUGE challenges, but spoke so passionately about Gene and Dawn never leaving his or his family’s side. Gene did all 3 efforts (at the same time). That one did it for me, I called Gene THAT moment, he answered, gave me all the time in the world (right then). I spoke honestly about my situation and he took on the challenge. It is my sincere hope that anyone reading this, that may be on the fence about agent selection; that this resonates and gives you solid comfort that these are the agents for you. I have closed on my short sale and now that chapter in my life is finished, it was one of the toughest, hardest things I’ve ever had to do – and they helped me make it through….Gene and Dawn….to the both of you….I am forever GRATEFUL!!!

Bought a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $275K in Kempsville, Virginia Beach, VA.

For our first home buying experience, we did not know what to expect, but Nathan made our dream come true--in lightning speed. First, he found our perfect home in an ideal location; prepared the offer so professionally, that the Seller did not even submit a counter-offer. Next, he referred us to a wonderful mortgage broker who was so awesome that we are closing on the contract closing date--no delays, nothing---and we are first time buyers! We were skeptical about this becoming a reality, but Nathan kept us focused on what had to be done and the whole process went just as he said it would. Nathan REALLY knows his business, but what I learned from this experience is that he wanted us to trust him and he worked tirelessly to earn our trust.

Sold a Condo home in 2015 for approximately $200K in Norfolk, VA.

Nathan was very upfront about what we could realize for the price of our home. He didn't tell us what "we wanted to hear" but was very realistic. I appreciated the honest straight-forward approach. We had two offers on our house and Nathan knew both agents personally. This allowed for a very honest negotiation process and accurate assessment of strength each potential purchaser's interest. After going under contract with the first offer, Nathan used the terms of the first offer to advise the second party on their offer. Instead of getting less than what we were asking, we got full price for our home plus no home inspection!!! In addition we shaved off about 20-25 days for closing!! We would definitely recommend Nathan and Eugene's services to others.

Showed home in 2014 in Princess Anne, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.

We were shown several properties but none that caught our eye. Real estate is very expensive in Virginia Beach for the neighborhoods we wanted to live in. Didn't go into any negotiations as we decided to stop looking for homes in Virginia Beach.

Bought a home in 2014.
Primary point of contact: John King

Our single son lived in the area and we encouraged him to buy instead of renting. He had little experience and we live states away. John King was exceptional in communicating with us and our son. How often does a 25 year old make this type of commitment? Johns communication, responsiveness and experience were a great fit. I would highly recommend his services.

Primary point of contact: Kelly DiPasquale

My experience has been with Kelly DiPasquale and it has been excellent. She has worked very hard to try to help me find a house, and it hasn't been easy. I don't know the area and I've been "all over the place, changing my mind almost daily on what I want!" She's been patient and empathetic. She really knows what she's doing and is very professional. I feel confident she will help me find the right place. ??

Bought a home in 2013.
Primary point of contact: Vincent

Vincent was my real estate agent. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable about his profession. I appreciate him taking me slow so that he could truly find the home for me. When I wasn't finding the property I wanted in Virginia Beach, he suggested that I search on the outskirts of the city. I'll never forget when I walked into my home for the very first time that I said "this is the one". We had a huge clitch with the mortgage company, but Vincent stuck with me the entire way until it was resolved. I am very happy in my home and with service I received.
