Sold a Single Family home in 2014 in Mears Corner, Virginia Beach, VA.
Gene, Nathan, and Dawn were amazing real estate agents. We had to do a short sale and we were new to the process. We had been burned by a realtor in the past and had some reservations. The team really made us feel comfortable and always kept us informed. The process was smooth and easy. We highly recommend them to anyone.
Sold a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $250K in Bayside, Virginia Beach, VA.
I recently worked with Gene to sell my condo. This was my 22nd real estate transaction so I have worked with many real estate professionals. Gene was one of the best. He really knew his market and the process necessary to get the job done. But, most importantly, he went above and beyond the normal duties of a sellers agent. Even though he is very successful and quite busy, I could reach him anytime. He kept me informed and explained all my options. I would recommend Gene to anyone interested in buying or selling property in the Virginia Beach area. If this is your first or last real estate transaction, he will take you through the process with ease.
I could have been buying anything: a car, a boat, a house, a dog - it didn't matter. Instead of being a realtor, he focused on being MY realtor. He guided my wife and I through the entire internal struggle of moving to a different house.
My wife and I had no dire reason to move. We weren't selling our house, we weren't in financial trouble, we weren't issued new orders. We had no reason to move other than we (kinda) knew we wanted to. He guided us through figuring out whether we really wanted to move, whether we really needed to move. He helped guide us through learning what we did and didn't want in our next house. He helped us realize what we wanted our budget to be how it related to what we wanted.
He tailored to his approach to our personalities and it made all the difference. He was extremely understanding and compassionate with us. And I'm an OCD-type person so I bugged the mess out of him ALL OF THE TIME. And he was there every time, ready to listen and guide.
And then came negotiations....
As caring as he was towards my wife and I, that was how ferocious he was at the negotiating table. I've never seen a man throw other realtor's and sales people of their game so fast and effectively in all my life. The first time my wife and I experienced it, we weren't prepared for it and were just blown away. It was so great to have him on OUR side of the table. And frankly, it's a sight to behold no matter which side of it your on.
We're one day away from closing on our new home and couldn't be happier. It's what we wanted, where we wanted and for a price we can afford. And the best part is, we feel GOOD about it, not nervous or anxious. We have Gene to thank for all of it.
Also, in a couple of weeks we'll be asking him to list our old house for rent (which he helped us through that entire process as well which is a feat all it's own).
I seriously cannot recommend Gene more. It's ludicrous to even consider anyone else.

I was referred to Real Estate Brothers by a very good friend. I trusted her opinion as she is the poster tough sell. Gene set us up with Kelly to start the house hunting journey. My job was keeping us local for another few years and we figured why not just jump in. I was resistant because I thought my first home would be my forever home and I didn't want to think about the right now house. Her first job was to change my thinking from that and she handled it like a true professional. She was able to put all my reservations about this huge decision at ease. Unfortunately I consider myself a product of the HGTV generation, and after probably years of show after show I was for sure an expert on everything! I gave Kelly a very detailed list of wants and let her get started. The market moved faster than what I had expected and we missed the window on some of my "I love that place" houses. The Real Estate Brothers team, Kelly especially, kept us down to earth through the whole process. It was the perfect mix of tough love and patience. She talked me out of more than one panic attack, because let's face it.. this was a lot of money and a huge responsibility. It was our first house and with her and her team it was so simple. I just had to pick the house and they took care of the rest. I would recommend Real Estate Brothers again and again. They will be our only call when it comes time to sell and find our forever home.
Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $125K in Newport News, VA.
Nathan was able to get us everything we wanted for the a price we could afford. Our house is AMAZING and so was he. He was very professional, yet comfortable to be around. Very down to earth. Every member of the Real Estate Brothers team that I interacted with was nothing short of wonderful. We are looking forward to many happy years in our home.
P.s. he was also a great babysitter come closing time (we moved from out of state and didn't know anyone, so we had to bring our 2yr. old) lol.

I highly recommend the Real Estate Brothers for your real estate needs. My husband and I worked with Gene to find our new home. Gene is the best I have ever come across. Patient, knowledgeable, humorous, always available are just a few of the qualities that has made him one of the best in the business. He multi-task extremely well and stays on top of things with a get-it-done attitude. I will be forever grateful to Gene.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with choosing Real Estate Brothers. We are first time home buyers and we're pretty intimidated by the process. Or realtor Kelly was not only very professional but very knowledgeable about the process. But not only knowledgeable but was able to break down the big words into understandable language that made us feel about more confident with our decision to buy a home. I absolutely recommend her and her team to help you buy your next home.
