Wow! Something went horribly wrong with the Zestimates in Tustin, CA 92780. What happened?

Answer
Hi, thanks for posting. Do you have a few addresses you can send me or post here as examples? I'm not seeing the same thing. I don't see any $51K zestimates on E 1st st. I grabbed a random, non-claimed home as an example of the area I"m looking at: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1196-E-1st-St-19-A-Tustin-CA-92780/25701526_zpid/You can post here, or send me an email by clicking on my profile. False Postings people are making on Zillow!! Why Me?

Response
Hi Denise, Thank you for reporting this. You can send me a private email with your phone number so we can track these posts down. (Just click on my name to send me an email through my profile)The new method scammers are using is finding folks on Craigslist or other sites who are selling items completely unrelated to real estate. For example, you may be selling a cell phone, or other item. The scammer then contacts you about that item, and then claims they will send you a verification code via phone call or text to verify YOU are real!We implemented warning verbiage to alert the receiver of a phone call or text including a Zillow/Postlets/HotPads verification code to post a listing. Here is our Beware of Internet Scams information page.Specifically: Please note: An agent or landlord should  never ask for personal information or a phone verification code prior to seeing a property. Any requests for bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or being asked to provide them with a code sent to your cell phone via text or call are all signs of a potential scam. /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-style-parent:""; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";}Spread the word!

HOW does a real estate agent take over my home's listing???

Answer
Hi Jacira,We sent you a personalized yesterday and received a verify email message we replied to. Here it is: (Espaol abajo) I am receiving over 1000 e-mails a day! I need you to verify that you are a real person, not a spam source. Estoy recibiendo sobre 1000 correos electrnicos al da! Necesito que verifiques que eres una persona verdadera y no una fuente de spam.Nicole just emailed you again from a different Zillow email, and received a message stating that email is now whitelisted. We didn't get that same message yesterday.So, please check that email. Since we don't have a phone number for you, we've only been able to communicate via email. You can reply to Nicole's email with your phone number, or you can send it to me via rachelr at zillow dot comMyself and Nicole can't find any technical log of a Bruce Klepper posting this property. The only user log activity we can see on the property is from your login.We can only see it on Trulia as well. Feel free to contact me with additional information so we can assist you.Rachel

Report on my house Aug.7

Answer
Thank you for reporting this. Zillow does not offer a product for consumers for $1.00. Please email me any details you have my clicking on my profile name to contact me. On your credit card or bank statement, it will say who charged the account. If you can also look in your browser history to see what links you went to on August 7th, that will also help track down the source.

Two young guys are roaming the Wedgwood neighborhood 7/3, taking pictures of houses. Are they legit?

Answer
Hello!Sorry for the confusion.Zillow is currently collecting photographs of home exteriors in select neighborhoods in Seattle.  These are only being accessed from the street or sidewalk, providing similar perspective to images typically available through Google Street View and often county and local assessor offices.These photographers do have Zillow identification, and should be presenting this when asked what their purpose is for taking photos.We're following up with these folks to make it more clear. Also, please feel free to email me by clicking on my profile. Please note, the photographers will not be working Thursday through Sunday this weekend.Thank you, and have a wonderful fourth of July weekend! /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-style-parent:""; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Cambria","serif";}

can I see a listing of all or the top appreciating areas?

Answer
Hi,I'll ask if we have that available. In the meantime, you can go the local info page here: http://www.zillow.com/local-info/ /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-style-parent:""; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";}You can sort by clicking on the column you're interested in. Year over year, Las Vegas has had the most appreciation.  This is largely because if was also the hardest hit with depreciation.
