Drove from LA to OC to see a home listed by Rachel today. I called her to see what time I can meet with her in Anaheim Hills. She said 5.45pm. She than asked me if I am pre qualified. I said yes and I told her that I am putting 40% down. She than said do you have the pre-qual letter with you and I said no, I have it at home. She than said in order for me to see the home I have to have it. I could believe what she was saying. I even asked her if she is serious and she said yes. The home is only $450,000!!! I told her that I will have another agent show me the home and hanged up. She than called me and said that if I want to be like this, she can't work with me. I said don't ever Call me again!!! Please don't work with this agent!! She doesn't care about you. She only cares about her commission. Obviously the agents have to make sure that you qualify, but not the way she puts it. She is all about the money and doesn't care about who you are and what your needs are. Do yourself a favor and find a qualified agent!!
I received a call around 5pm on Sunday. This person wanted to see the home within an hr as he was in Huntington Beach. I tried to make arrangements. My seller is an older lady who doesn't like to show her home without 24hr notice. She also demands to only show people who are qualified for at least $500k due to the asking price ranged $499k-529k & prefers cash offers. When I asked about being pre-approved and the amount, he got offended. He hung up so I called him back to explain & make an appointment & asked him to bring the pre-approved letter, he was unhappy and said forget it. I tried to make the showing happen but he didn't want to accept my seller’s requirements and shut me off. If I only cared about the commission, I would have showed him the home tried to double end this deal but I didn't. I was doing a good job for my seller and trying to accommodate his last min request. I wish this buyer the best. I know buyers face many issues and get frustrated and I know they need to vent.
