Deborah Knuckey brings an extensive business marketing background to real estate. Deborah has an MBA in marketing from UCLA, ranked by Business Week as a top 10 business school at the time she attended. Her professional marketing career includes years of experience as a marketing consultant at Ketchum, management consultant at McKinsey and Co., and financial journalist. She is the author of two books on personal finance published by Wiley and has written on real estate for Washingtonian magazine.

Deborah came to real estate after years of personal investment in renovation projects and multi-units in the DC area. She comes from a family of real estate investors and spent her childhood years helping out on renovation projects. She is a modern architecture buff, historic preservation fan and knows homes inside and out.

Deborah's primary focus is high-end homes in close in areas of NW DC, representing buyers, sellers and investors. She uses technology at every stage of the process, marketing properties with virtual tours and online advertising. She trained in photography at the Smithsonian and is skilled in making homes look their best for online marketing. She is licensed in DC, MD and VA and is consistently a top producer with more than 10 million of sales annually. In her first year in the business, she was one of only two new agents to reach the "Founder's Club" (the second highest volume level at Long and Foster) and named a top three rookie.

Outside work, Deborah is on the board of the Friends of the National Zoo and has been actively involved in real estate development issues through membership in the Urban Land Institute, and support of the National Building Museum.
