Sold a Single Family home in 2015 in Green Run, Virginia Beach, VA.
Kelly and Nathan made our selling and buying very easy! Me and my wife had so many questions at first, and believe me I'm one of those people who asked a hundred and one questions, but they were always there to answer! Anything I would need the were happy to help get for me. Kelly had great recommendations for the selling. I believe if we didn't follow her recommendations, we wouldn't have sold our last home that fast! Actually the home sold in 2 and a half weeks! Kelly's expertise on how homes sell is extremely accurate! The crazy part of it was we didn't have to spend over $3000 to update! Normally people think one would update everything to sell. Actually we just used Kelly's recommendations and it was sold faster than I would have ever imagined! Nathan had buyers looking at the house nearly everyday! There was one day Nathan had 5 people come through to see the house!!! Usually you get that at an open house! But this was a professional scheduled walk through. Nathan's suggestions were also correct. His selling price for the old house was on point. His negotiation skills were through the roof for our new house. He brought the sellers asking price down tremendously which we were so happy for. He made the negotiations go very smoothly. I was very pleased. I could call Kelly and Nathan any time I needed. I even woke Nathan up at night and he still helped me with questions! People rarely get realtor company support like that!!! These people never saw us as a number, or just a job, they saw us as family. We are so thankful real estate brothers has people like Kelly and Nathan.

Primary point of contact: Kelly DiPasquale
We found the Real Estate Brothers while searching Zillow for a realtor. From the get-go, we were very cautious and wanted to make sure we picked the right realtor to help sell our house and buy a new one. After realizing that the Real Estate Brothers Team had the best and most reviews, it was obvious who our next realtor would be.
Kelly DiPasquale helped us buy our house. She tells it like it is (which we appreciated and welcomed) and she listened and understood our needs.
When we started looking for houses, I was unsure that we would be able to find the right house. At the time we started looking, there wasn't a whole lot of houses that were available that were in our desired location, that also met all of our family's needs. However, Kelly found our new house on our first and only time we went out looking. When we saw OUR house, we new it was the one! It was in the desired school district and it was literally a couple of minutes from my job. And as an extra bonus and what sealed the deal for us, the bus stop was a few seconds away from our doorstep.
Kelly was quick and informed the seller of our desire to buy and within a few hours, we began the buying process. Kelly was also able to work her magic and helped us acquire an early possession agreement on our new home, so that we could finalize the sell of our old home. (Thanks to Nathan Volz who sold our house in less than a month!)
Kelly is a hard working, motivated realtor, who made the whole process easy and answered all of our questions. She was there from the beginning all the way to the very end. Kelly is an amazing person and I have and will continue to recommend her and the rest of the Real Estate Brothers team to everyone I meet!
They got us a good price and did a fine job. Were more communicative at the beginning of the process then the end. The closing went through as scheduled but was a rush of things at the end that I wish had been better planned.

I just want to start by saying that Nathan Volz is the best realtor we've ever had. He sold us our first house here and then turned around and got it sold quickly for us. We were not expecting such a quick sell, but we had offers on our home in 4 days. Our first contract didn't go through due to the buyer being totally unreasonable, but Nathan had someone else right away and it was up hill from there. He really knows what he's doing and works very hard in making it happen. I highly recommend him. He is absolutely wonderful and you will be in great hands!

The experience I had with Kelly was awesome! I told her what i wanted and how much I wanted to spend. The bank approved me for more than i wanted to spend and she never tried to pressure me to spend outside my budget. I found exactly what i wanted and the process couldnt have been smoother. I worked with Pat Nolan as well for my loan and he rocks! This whole team is on their game and it does not matter to them how much you want to spend, all they care about is getting you what you want. No snobs in the room with these guys, very down to earth. I will not buy a home from anyone but Kelly DiPasquale after my experience, she is truly an asset to Gene and Natahan's team!
Sold a home in 2015 in Riverside, Newport News, VA 23606.
My home has been SOLD! After 12 months and two realtors, I went to the Real Estate Brothers in need of a short sale. I met with Nathan Volz. After about 15 minutes, Nathan told me that I did not need to short sale my home. He would sell it. I was reluctant because I had been told the same thing by my two realtors before. I was told in order to sell my home I would need to upgrade my kitchen, bathroom and possibly my driveway! All this time, I thought my 4 bedroom, one and a half bath ranch home was in great condition for a first-time home buyer. Nathan meant business; he proved that to me a week and a half later with an offer for my home. A week and a half!? I could not believe that he had an offer so quickly after what I had experienced with previous realtors. Now there were some personal issues with my home. The home was left to me by my deceased mother. I had to do several things in order to continue with the sale. Not only was this a stressful process for me, I know that it had to have been difficult for Nathan to trust that I would do everything required of me as far as getting the correct documents to the right people and places. Nathan's patience, support and consistent communication, on a daily basis, was everything I was hoping to have received initially when I started the process of putting my home on the market. I read reviews about real estate companies and agents and I thought that was the customer service I would receive from the beginning. Unfortunately it was not. It was also unfortunate for my wallet. It took 12 months to find the right realtor, just in time before my home was about to undergo foreclosure. I am undoubtedly grateful for Nathan and his team, who collectively were able to bring my home back to life. I would advise anyone looking to sell their home to contact the Real Estate Brothers, absolutely, without a question in my mind. And if you are unsure, take the time to meet them and see for yourself their commitment, their energy and their willingness to provide excellent customer service for those looking to close one chapter and begin the next. I cannot thank them enough for all of their help.

Nathan was professional, knowledgable, and committed to finding our first home. After discussing our budget, wants, and needs, Nathan delivered, and after viewing only 3 homes, we found our perfect home! He made the process stress-free, easy, and fun. He delivered our offer so beautifully, and to our relief, the seller did not come back with a counter-offer. We closed on our contracted closing date and could not be happier. Nathan is honest, professional, and dedicated and we highly recommend his service.

Primary point of contact: Kelly
Kelly responded very fast and was a very helpful guide through the purchasing process. We signed on with Real Estate Brothers at the beginning of the month and closed on a new home by the end of the month. There were some minor repairs needed on the house that were successfully negotiated and made before purchase. Closing went smoothly and we were contacted shortly after closing to make sure everything was OK.

In the real estate industry the level of customer service and communication between buyer/seller and agent, in the beginning, typically has a lot of rigor, all the right words are being said, and everything sounds like a match made in heaven. You feel like this is the agent for you and that they will make it their life mission to find your dream home and fight for a price that’s a fraction of what you wanted to pay or find a buyer to sell your home to, and then close a deal in 30 days or less. But after a few weeks it’s basically silence on the line. You can’t get ahold of anyone, the emails/updates stop coming, you don’t know what’s happening, the properties you’re getting emailed to you are sub-standard or you haven’t had a potential buyer come look at your home in weeks. I’m certain anyone reading this has experienced or heard of all and more of what I’ve described here. I’ve worked with Gene and Dawn for the last +6.5 months on a short sale. I was going through a divorce and had to relocate myself and my small son to an entirely new city but needed to sell my marital home. In my case, I’m not from this area and knew no one where I moved. There are MANY other elements to my horror story but let me tell you, through it all Gene and Dawn WERE THERE!!! I never went a week without a call, an email, a whistle blow, a kite being flown my way or something. There was an element of intellect, understanding of the business, understanding of how to negotiate with the lender, underwriter, dedication, customer service, communication, and comfort that they gave to me during this time of chaos, that could NEVER be duplicated by another agent(s). I’m certain over the +6.5 month period I asked (literally) over 100 questions (just ask Dawn, she will confirm I asked this many questions). There was never a time I didn’t receive a timely answer (I’m talking almost same day answers) and if it wasn’t something she or Gene could answer readily, they went on a search and seizure to find it and bring it back to me (I mean they were like pit bulls to meet my needs and I say this in the most admirable and professional way possible). This team, in no short order, were faced with my lender trying to FORCE me into a +$30,000 promissory note. After their “take no prisoners attitude, I will fight for my client to the death, with a bright smile and fabulous writing ink pen”) I was able move forward with the lender conceding that I did “NOT” have to sign the promissory note! They’ve always been a listening ear to my complaints or struggles with the process and have always given me compassionate and sound advice (Here’s Dawn when I got the news about the REAL potential of a promissory note) ”Don’t worry about this, it’s the holiday’s spend time with your son, please try to relax, I’ve GOT this! We will NOT give up, we will fight until we can fight no more, but let me bare this burden for you, let me and Gene fight for you! We will not let any stone go unturned, Jennifer is not giving them an inch to move forward with this, she is doing EVERYTHING she can. We WILL stay on top of them and NOT let this happen to you!!! Please have a happy holiday and try to relax and rest.” Unbeknownst to her, I cried for quite a while after I hung up from her, she truly had no idea how she had brightened my day. Because of my family situation at the time, I was in ruin, but she truly gave me a bright light to hold on to. Fast forward to the end of my long journey, Gene and Dawn have been nothing short of a BLESSING. When it’s my time to purchase or sell again or refer an agent that brings quality service, brings consistent dedication to the needs of a buyer or seller…it will be Gene and Dawn that I go to or it will be there names that I give to someone else. In closing, when I started looking for an agent, there were literally 100’s of reviews about Gene and Dawn. They were all amazing but one was a tipping point. It was a review from a military officer who had to relocate, do a short sale, buy a new home and move his family across country. He spoke in detail about his HUGE challenges, but spoke so passionately about Gene and Dawn never leaving his or his family’s side. Gene did all 3 efforts (at the same time). That one did it for me, I called Gene THAT moment, he answered, gave me all the time in the world (right then). I spoke honestly about my situation and he took on the challenge. It is my sincere hope that anyone reading this, that may be on the fence about agent selection; that this resonates and gives you solid comfort that these are the agents for you. I have closed on my short sale and now that chapter in my life is finished, it was one of the toughest, hardest things I’ve ever had to do – and they helped me make it through….Gene and Dawn….to the both of you….I am forever GRATEFUL!!!

For our first home buying experience, we did not know what to expect, but Nathan made our dream come true--in lightning speed. First, he found our perfect home in an ideal location; prepared the offer so professionally, that the Seller did not even submit a counter-offer. Next, he referred us to a wonderful mortgage broker who was so awesome that we are closing on the contract closing date--no delays, nothing---and we are first time buyers! We were skeptical about this becoming a reality, but Nathan kept us focused on what had to be done and the whole process went just as he said it would. Nathan REALLY knows his business, but what I learned from this experience is that he wanted us to trust him and he worked tirelessly to earn our trust.
