Bob was fantastic. As first time home buyers, we had very little knowledge of what we were doing. Bob was with us the whole way. He happily showed us all sorts of homes at our request that only turned out to be dead ends. When we finally did decide on a house, he walked us through all of the paperwork and was very patient with our lack of knowledge. I highly recommend using Bob.

I highly recommend Bob Double!

We thought we had the best 3 Bedroom Townhome in Batchelor Heights, and likely in all of Bloomington. So we initially tried to sell it ‘For Sale By Owner’. But with just a sign in the yard and another at the street corner, and later listings on Craig’s List and IU OneStart, we only had one showing in four months. We contacted several realtors that were recommended to us, and we interviewed three. But none impressed me as being worth 5-6%. Our house is beautiful, we reasoned, and we just needed to be listed in the MLS to generate traffic. Once they see it, it will sell itself.

So I googled to find the lowest realtor commission in town. And that is how I found Valu-net Realty and Bob Double. He came across as straight-forward and unassuming and less flashy than the others, but way way way less expensive, and more intelligent too. Our primary fear in listing with Bob, though, was that we would get less service, that traditional realtors had some magic way of generating buyers. But we tried Bob anyway, reasoning that at worst it would only cost us $269 and a little time. We were right about saving on the commission, but our fears were completely unfounded.

Bob Double was awesome. I am a 50 year old gender-queer transwoman. He was the best realtor I have ever dealt with. He was conscientious and responsive and worked harder and gave better service than any other realtor. He is not just less expensive; he is a better realtor than his full priced counterparts. With Bob, we had three offers within three weeks and sold our home for more money than we expected. Additionally, because our agreement was not an exclusive right to sell and we did not agree to dual agency, the buyer we chose bought without a realtor and we paid a total commission of $769. That’s $269 to Bob for listing our house; and $500 more to Bob for the contract and paperwork and closing; and no money to any others. Because the buyer found the house on-line without a realtor, we saved the buyer’s broker commission altogether.

Bob was respectful at all times. Bob gave intelligent advice. Unlike percentage realtors, Bob did not seem to be serving himself trying to push a decision. We actually sold for more money than one of the other realtors recommended we list for. He also recommended a closing company that provided excellent service and also saved us money. I never sensed that Bob had a conflict of interest or was giving poor advice.

I was so happy with Bob that I wished he could represent us in our new home search out of state. But legally he could not. But because of what I learned from Bob, I saved 3% on the other end too. I was actually able to negotiate a deal on a realtor listed property without having a percentage of my offer be applied to the realtor.

I highly recommend Bob Double. Selling a home does not take magic. It takes intelligence, dedication and good advice. Bob is the best. In my experience, traditional realtors are not honest. Whether it is his nature or because his contract gives no real incentive for lying, Bob Double is honest and trustworthy. I have never before felt that a realtor was underpaid, but Bob Double makes too little for what he does. He ought to charge more. Through my experience with Bob, I learned a lot and saved a ton of money. I will never pay full price again. I was so pleased with Bob Double that I sent him more money as a gift after the fact. I no longer live in Indiana, but if I did I would always use Bob Double for my real estate transactions.

I am immensely pleased with Bob Double, and I give him my highest recommendation!

Bought a home in 2014.

I can't understand why all Realtors don't operate like Bob. With the main source of home searching tools being the Internet, it does not make sense going to one of the big name franchises only to pay them for a service that you pretty can get online.

Bob is tenacious and will work with and for you to your advantage. 1 1/2% of most real-estate commissions are wasted on office salaries, overhead, and profit for the owner/managers. Bob will save you that part of the commission, it was over $3000.00 for us! If you value $, use Bob.

Bob helped us to buy a house recently. There are two great things about his services: the quality and the REBATE.

Let me start with quality. Bob is very responsive. We were always able to set up appointments on a short notice. Bob took as much time as we needed, he went along with us as we were learning about buying a house. He had a good knowledge of the local market, and he was easy to talk to. I would say that the quality of his services was excellent, and I can strongly recommend it.

However, Bob's secret weapon is his rebate program. We all know that agents get a 3% commission each (the buyer's and the seller's agent). Bob shares his commission with you right down the middle if you see 10 houses with him, and then subtracts $100 for every additional house you see. We have seen many houses with Bob, much more than 10, but at the end we ended up getting $3000 rebate. It's a great program, and no other agent here at Bloomington does it. All I can tell you, I think it is foolish to go with other agents that do not split their commission with you. Why would one just refuse the money?
