Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $325K in Morgan Hill, CA.
I'm a first-time buyer and Robert landed me a stellar deal. I found him here on Zillow and after answering some qualifying questions he went to work for me. I was ready to move fast, and Robert made it happen!

After swinging and missing on a move-in ready home, I set my sights on a fixer upper that popped up around the corner. We quickly found out that the house already had at least one offer and a deadline was set for a few days later. Robert used his knowledge of the area to calculate a winning offer, and I'm now (somewhat) settled into the new place! I really couldn't be happier. Thanks Robert!More Less

Bought a Condo home in 2011 for approximately $450K in North San Jose, San Jose, CA.
Robert helped us purchase a place in an area we were unfamiliar with. He also worked extremely well with our mortgage broker so that things ran fairly smooth considering we were buying a foreclosure.

Bought a home in 2011.
If you are looking for an honest, non-slimball, upfront agent..Robert is your guy. About us: My husband and I were first time homebuyers (Robert just helped us purchase our first home). To start off we were the type of homebuyers who asked a zillion questions, trusted no one, felt everyone was out to screw us... and I can honestly say that Robert delivered for us time and time again. I genuinely TRUST Robert and felt that he had our best interest in heart during the entire process. Robert is highly knowledgeable in real estate and phrases things in a way that first-time homebuyers can understand. More importantly this guy is extremely personable and funny...someone you actually want to work with.Robert is very responsive. He was in constant contact with our bank agent and escrow making sure that things were in line and on schedule. He would give us updates without us ever having to ask. I was searching for Real Estate podcasts and that is how I came across Robert "The Rebel Broker". Overall, this guy is awesome and I would suggest you choose him if you DON'T LIKE the self-centered, name tag wearing, bragging about their awards type of agent!! This guy is awesome.More Less

About Robert Whitelaw

Add personality to your profile! Tell the community about yourself, your home, and your profession.

I was born and raised in Silicon Valley. I earned my college degree at San Jose State University and obtained my real estate license before I finished my senior year of studies. My Grandfather, Jay Hardiman, started his real estate career after he completed his military service during World War II. I like to think what makes me good at what I do I got from him.

The Silicon Valley is an area with very different markets from Cupertino to Morgan Hill and Los Gatos to Santa Clara. I approach my duty as a professional real estate agent differently. I judge my performance on the numbers that matter most to YOU not to other agents and brokers. Feel free to contact me to find out more about exactly what that means!

I am guided by some fundamental ideas:

If I list a home, I sell it. I do NOT take listings simply to take them. While some agents will take any listing just to get their sign in a yard (it happens so often, it even has a name - the "Lost Leader" listing), I will not waste my clients or my time with that sort of nonsense!

I will sell your home quickly. I know the markets - exceptionally well! As a result, when I determine a sales price for your home, I am confident it will sell at that price in a reasonable amount of time. My goal is to ALWAYS sell a home in less time than the average for the area where the property is located.

I will fight for your price. If you are a seller, that means I am going to push for your best price. Much of that rests on getting more attention for your property than others. My in depth marketing plan does this well. If you are a buyer, this means that I work to get you the best price possible through creative and aggressive negotiating. In short, I get my sellers more and my buyers pay less.

I love the business of real estate, and I take my part in it very seriously. If you want someone who is focused and dedicated to  serving your best interests, give me a call.
