Robert helped us purchase a place in an area we were unfamiliar with. He also worked extremely well with our mortgage broker so that things ran fairly smooth considering we were buying a foreclosure.

If you are looking for an honest, non-slimball, upfront agent..Robert is your guy. About us: My husband and I were first time homebuyers (Robert just helped us purchase our first home). To start off we were the type of homebuyers who asked a zillion questions, trusted no one, felt everyone was out to screw us... and I can honestly say that Robert delivered for us time and time again. I genuinely TRUST Robert and felt that he had our best interest in heart during the entire process. Robert is highly knowledgeable in real estate and phrases things in a way that first-time homebuyers can understand. More importantly this guy is extremely personable and funny...someone you actually want to work with.Robert is very responsive. He was in constant contact with our bank agent and escrow making sure that things were in line and on schedule. He would give us updates without us ever having to ask. I was searching for Real Estate podcasts and that is how I came across Robert "The Rebel Broker". Overall, this guy is awesome and I would suggest you choose him if you DON'T LIKE the self-centered, name tag wearing, bragging about their awards type of agent!! This guy is awesome.

Robert Whitelaw is an outstanding broker. He's honest, straight forward and a professional. He is current and keeps abreast of all real estate changes with impressive knowledge of the market. His podcast, Real Estate Realities with the Rebel Broker, is not just entertaining, but extremely informative with statistics to back up everything he says. He provides useful information for clients both buying and selling their homes. I highly recommend Robert for all your real estate needs.

After interviewing 5 real estate agents (Believe it or not, Robert actually SUGGESTED I do this!), my choice was clear. Robert has been doing this a very long time and his expertise and insights are what come from years of watching the real estate market. He gave my transaction the kind of attention it needed to make sure it came off without a hitch and made sure my interests were protected all through the process. He made a very stressful situation nearly stress-free with his professionalism, his willingness to clearly explain each step of the process and a total dedication to what was in my best interests. I have actually worked with Robert in two transactions at this point. He helped me purchase my first home in 2011 and he is now helping me find my first investment property. You simply cannot do better than Robert if you need a real estate agent!

I've bought and sold a number of homes. Of all the realtors I've encountered, Robert is one of th finest. He was able to clearly explain the process and was very prompt in following up on all of the steps along the way.
It's especially nice that he's so comfortable with technology. We were able to stay in close contact online throughout the process of buying my new home. That made a busy travel schedule a non-issue.

Robert did a fantastic job helping us negotiate a short sale purchase. He had a lot of insight about how to negotiate this type of real estate transaction. Robert, was a big help with getting our inspections and loan process completed in time to make a very difficult real estate deal work out. We highly recommend Robert and will use his services again.

If you have ever gone through the process of working with a real estate person, you really need to experience the difference that Robert brings to the table!
After my last experience, I interviewed at least 8 agents who all seemed to be reading from the same cheat sheet. Robert was completely different and took an approach unlike all the other agents I talked with. He has stayed focused on my need and has made searching for a home just about as easy as I could possibly imagine. I truly believe that he has put my needs above his desire to close the next deal. Not to mention he has adapted to my changing situations! We are in escrow as I write this and he also dominated the negotiation process! If you need a truly dedicated real estate person, Robert is the guy to call!

We recently bought a home with Robert's assistance in Morgan Hill. Excellent service and responsiveness. We were using a non-standard (VA) loan and everything went wonderfully. RECOMMENDED WITHOUT RESERVATION! Give him a call.

My wife and I bought our first house with Robert as our agent. My wife and I each had a list of requirements that were very different. After each house we looked at, Robert talked to us about the things we each liked and disliked. He got us to come together on a list of things that we both wanted from house and that would make us both happy. We qualified for more, and look at more expensive houses, but Robert never pressured us into buy any of the houses we looked at, not even the one that we eventually bought.
The negotiations for our house took a long time. Robert explain each step to us, answered all of our questions and was very patient. At each step, he explained what was likely to happen. All but one small step, went exactly as he thought it would.
We bought our house with an FHA loan. The process for getting an FHA loan approved had just changed and it had been awhile since Robert worked with clients buying with one. He called our loan broker, who had worked with another family member in the past, and apologized for asking what he assumed would be a very common question, "How does the new process work and what do I need to do?" The loan broker spoke with my wife and I, and said, "No realtor asked her that question and wished more brokers would, as things would go much more smoothly." If it wasn't for Robert's attention to details and wanting the process to be smooth as possible, we wouldn't have gotten our house, as the FHA process changed just as we closed.
I have already recommended Robert to friends. He is a down-to-earth, honest guy who loves real estate and cares about his clients.
Response from Robert

After swinging and missing on a move-in ready home, I set my sights on a fixer upper that popped up around the corner. We quickly found out that the house already had at least one offer and a deadline was set for a few days later. Robert used his knowledge of the area to calculate a winning offer, and I'm now (somewhat) settled into the new place! I really couldn't be happier. Thanks Robert!
