reclaiming it on zillow is a great start, but if this is a property line issue you should have it surveyed to verify. If it is on structure, as long as everything has a permit is should show, if the changes were done prior to your ownership you may have to get it inspected and permited.

basically it is comped based on other properties in the area, and the square footage, and age of the home. I know this house very well, and the inlaw unit has one issue that needs to be taken care of. It can not be rented as a separate unit.
