Updating the Bird's Eye views requires a series of airplane flyoevers. Zillow licenses this imagery from Microsoft, actually, who has been good about fairly frequent updates, depending on population density, etc. Anyway, time should fix this one, but pls be patient. Meantime, maybe take a bunch of pretty pictures of her house and the neighbor's house and upload them right onto their respective homes' pages on Zillow.
It's an estimated market value for the home that gets updated a few times a week. it's not an appraisal. More info on how Zestimates are calculated can be found by clicking the little question mark icon that is right next to Zestimates on the site.
I assume you mean finding tax assessment or what transactions happened then on that house. Zillow doesn't have historical data that far back, but the county should. So, i'd recommend you figure out if you can get that county data online and start spelunking. if not, you should be able to go to a county records building and physically look it up.
How do I get you to update your bird's eye view of my mother's house?
