Welcome and thanks for reading my profile!   Wauconda / Hawthorn Woods / Long Grove / Lake Zurich is my home turf.   I've lived in the area for almost 20 years and have been running this company that specializes in representing home buyers only - for 13 years.   

The main reason clients hire me - is because they want an agent that is fully on their side - not just half on their side.  

Someone who looks out for their best interests - from getting a fantastic purchase price, to referring amazing inspectors and real estate attorneys, and saving them money on their loan.

 On average - I've been getting approximately DOUBLE THE PERCENTAGE PRICE OFF of all agents in a given town, based on MLS statistics.

Besides having the highest level of licensing (Managing Broker) - I am a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), Certified Negotiation Consultant (CNC), Accredited Buyer Rep (ABR), Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Expert (SFR), and Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI).

Prior to getting into real estate - I was an expert researcher and negotiator in corporate strategy departments for Helene Curtis and Motorola.

My company - Buyer Broker Chicagoland is one of only 600 Exclusive Buyer Brokerages in the country and one of six in the Chicago area.   I recently served as the Central Region Director for the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents - an organization dedicated to protecting the home buyer's best interests.  NAEBA subscribes to a higher code of ethics for home buyers.

Money Magazine, CNN Money, Kiplingers Personal Finance, Suze Orman, Ilyce Glink, Consumer Reports and other organizations recommend using an Exclusive Buyer Agent when you purchase - because you will be hiring a specialist versus a generalist, someone who will always be on your side - without the possibility of dual agency conflicts of interest that you will have if you use a vanilla "buyer agent."  (They and their company list property for sale - but they call themselves a buyer agent when they are working with you.)

Unlike other agents - I make more when your price goes down.  (A traditional agent makes more when your price goes up - so they can work you over to come up in price to get the deal done - and you are none-the-wiser..)

Bought a Condo home in 2013 in Schaumburg, IL.

Rick was an ideal agent for a first-time buyer like myself. More than just touring a list of properties, Rick looked at each one and was up front about potential problems as well as things that sound like a problem to a first-time buyer but are really minor. During the offer process, Rick proved himself a strong negotiator who was able to get a great deal. Bought a Townhouse home in 2012 for approximately $250K in Vernon Hills, IL.

Rick exceeded our expectations and allowed us to obtain a short sale town home in Vernon Hills which had great upgrades, and at a price that is a lot less than existing listed property with the same features. Rick was persistent in the pursuit of my goals, working with us for almost two years to help us get a great deal on a great property, exactly what we were looking for.
