Sharon Byrne has been a top residential Real Estate Agent in the Capital District and Saratoga Springs for more than two decades. Sharon was raised downstate and Graduated from St. Johns with a BA in English and a minor in education and Psychology.  Her master's and doctoral credits were earned in the field of special education as a reading specialist.

In 1970, Sharon and her husband Jim settled in Saratoga Springs and Jim opened his practice as an Orthodontist.  Sharon and Jim have 6 children and 12 grandchildren.  While raising her children, Sharon's hobby was to buy, renovate and sell older homes.  Her early passion for restored homes developed into an amazing real estate career- helping other people find their dream homes.

For the last 25+ years, Sharon has been the Sales Director for Belmonte Builders, the largest custom home builder in the area.  Sharon divides her time between working with clients moving in and out of existing houses, and helping clients build a new dream home. The equal balance of new construction buyers and resale clients keeps her practice exciting and fresh and enables Sharon to strengthen and develop her powerful local connections and skills.

Team reviews

Sharon comes with a strong background and great recommendations, but unfortunately, I can't say that I saw why she was rated so highly. We enlisted Sharon to sell our house and relied on her as the expert to get it sold. We found her to be unresponsive and there were times when we did not hear from her for well over 30 days. We had to battle with her to actually hold a brokers open house (which is standard in the industry) and when she finally did it was several weeks after the house had already been listed and we lost out on the initial listing momentum. She provided limited guidance to us when our house "sat" on the market with no offers. She did not stage the house. She did not do a virtual tour of our house. Her level of involvement in selling our house appeared to me to be quite limited and she relied only on the MLS system. Perhaps the most frustrating part of dealing with Sharon was the sloppy nature of her team. One example that illustrates this was when her team posted our home in the MLS. The team posted our home and photos against another listing that was considerably less expensive than our home. Her team never caught this mistake. I caught the mistake in the MLS system and forced the team to get it corrected. Sharon provided lots of excuses for the error and placed blame on her new assistant. Perhaps this should have been my first glimpse into the future of dealing with Sharon. Ultimately, ended our business arrangement with Sharon and went with another agent who was amazing and worked hard to sell our home. Sharon clearly knows the market, but getting her attention to do her job is a challenge.

Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $350K in Schenectady, NY.

I have recommended Susan Polsinelli and the Sharon Byrne team to all of my friends & family. She is an amazing agent. My husband & I fell in LOVE with a home a couple of miles from where we were. Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $425K in Delmar, NY.
