Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $750K in Mountain View, CA.
My fiance and I were two newbies in the Bay Area and the real estate market trying to buy our little Casa. We randomly bumped into Carla's profile online and were impressed by her work.
The thing I like about Carla is that she knows her business well, she is very informative, takes full interest in her clients no matter what budget and specifications they have and she goes above and beyond to make sure her clients end up buying the house that they love rather than settle for a house that they like.
She knows the market really well, she communicates well with seller's agent as well as agents of other properties that were sold in the neighborhood in the past so that we can make a meaningful offer.
She is very easy to work with, maintains most of her work online - which means you do not have to deal with loads of documents and clumsy paperwork. She makes it easier by using docusign and dropbox (which is btw her favorite :))
She responds patiently to all our questions even in the middle of the night. She communicated well with our mortgage broker as well.
She was by our side all throughout the process and even after that. She is not one of those who will forget you after their work is done. Even after getting the keys, Carla kept checking back to make sure we had no problems moving in and settling down. She definitely goes above and beyond to satisfy her clients.
On a lighter note, she does give good restaurant recommendations as well. :)
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $250K in East Palo Alto, CA.
We bought a condo even though we were not offering cash and our offer was not the highest. Carla was able to find out what the seller was looking for in a buyer and assisted us in tuning our strategy accordingly.
Carla was extremely patient with us. She was with us throughout the entire process: recommending an excellent mortgage broker (Connie Chronis), finding properties for us, making offers on three properties, assisting with the appraiser, helping us close escrow, and even recommending a handyman.
Carla was always eager and available to meet with us. She was extremely responsive by email. She made the entire process extremely easy by being able to handle almost everything online. We communicated and signed and sent documents online most of the time. This flexibility was crucial for keeping us engaged in the property-buying process until its fruition.
Additionally, she was well connected with everyone involved in the purchase of a house. Whenever we went to see properties, the realtors representing the seller knew her or had worked with her. She worked in synchrony with Connie -our mortgage broker- to make all offers on time and duly completed.
Carla has an excellent, professional network/team that works with you to help you achieve the goal of buying a property you like.
Sold a home in 2013 in Castro City, Mountain View, CA 94040.
Carla helped us prepare, list and sell our condo located in Mountain View. She was very knowledgeable and experienced in guiding us through the process of our sale as we are located out of state. She was very easygoing, helpful and patient whenever we had questions about the listing, answering everything honestly and concisely. Carla puts forth the extra effort and time to make her clients happy with their transaction. We would highly recommend Carla as their agent to anyone buying or selling a home!
Showed home in 2012 in Midtown, East Palo Alto, CA 94303.
Carla is assisting me now with finding a house. She is very patient. Also, she often writes me back on the many questions I have within 30 minutes or as quick as she can whether it is on a weekend or after work when I am available. I am looking in several cities and she can tell me which streets within the city are good or bad. Also, she knows how much to offer which can vary from city to city. I am very pleased with my experience and I think you will be too.
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $600K in Belle Haven, Menlo Park, CA.
I found several properties on Zillow, and I would shoot Carla an e-mail asking if the property was still for sale. What I love about Carla is that she is very prompt in returning my calls and e-mails. She was so committed to answering all my questions, and I had not even met her yet. I figured, I have to at least meet her. We met in East Palo Alto to see some of the new condo's there, and that is where our relationship first formed. After that, she showed me several properties, both in my price range and our of my price range, completely remodeled, and a few places that needed to be knocked down. What is incredible is her patience, and self control. If I were in her position, I might say, "What are you doing, that property stinks!" Instead, she met me at every property I wanted to see, and told me the pros and cons of the area, and the house itself.
Making that connection with Carla was the most valuable decision I made in my home buying experience. Carla always has such a positive essence and energy about her. She immediately felt like someone I could trust, or a long lost friend. She is always in a good mood, she is very laid back and simply gives you all the facts you need to know about the property. She does not push you to buy a house, in fact she is very honest. I really appreciate that she never says "no" or "that's not a good idea." Carla is very supportive, and I greatly appreciate all of the personal, financial, and overall advice she has shared with me.
I feel like Carla has become a confidant, and a mentor in the few months that I have known her. Especially since I can relate to her consistent happiness and relaxedness, shes always fun to be around, pleasant to work with, and extremely knowledgable. Carla is very tech saavy. She knows how to utilize docusign, she is on facebook, has a blog, therefore she can reach out to various types of people. I really appreciate that she schedules a face-to-face meeting when she makes an offer; in fact Carla and my lender Dennis Greene, both met with the listing agent to present my offer. I felt so confident and completely backed once my offer was in. I won the offer and I'm waiting for escrow to close in the next week or two! I can't be more excited! I also appreciate that Carla has advice about remodeling, appliances, contractors, renting your property, etc. I dont think there was any question that I threw at her that she could not answer. I have been very lucky to have had such a pleasant experience with my realtor and lender, Carla and Dennis.
On her Keller Williams website, Carla says, "I am not here to sell you a house but to help you find a home." This statement really rings true to her method of working with people. It shows that everything she does is in the best interest of her client. I have too many nice things to say about Carla, and I am happy to recommend her to you, and all of my friends and family.
My wife and I were relocating from a relatively low cost area for real estate to the much higher costs in the Bay Area. Carla found us the perfect home in size, amenities, and location that we could comfortably afford. We would have been lost without Carla's expertise and patience. She helped us at every step, from finding the home, to negotiation, to escrow and even advice about moving in and getting set up in our new neighborhood. Carla Dimond was more than a trusted partner in the real estate process - we consider her a dear friend as well. We've bought several homes across the country, including two in California, and Carla is the best real estate professional in our experience.
Bought a Townhouse home in 2012 in East Murphy, Sunnyvale, CA.
Carla helped me out through the whole buying process. During the house hunt she understood my tastes and found suitable properties to go look at. When we found a place that I liked, she went through all of the paperwork with me, helped at all of meetings, signings, and was responsive through the entire process.
Bought a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $325K in Mountain View, CA.
I let emotions die down before writing reviews. It's been a few months now so I can write at ease. Carla took me from a "know nothing" to a proud home owner in the heart of Silicon Valley, against all the odds. Mind you I define "know nothing" as one who has done all the research and gathered all the facts and yet is still clueless about how to get it done. I remain(ed) paranoid and to apply(ied) all sorts of logical reasoning to the process of buying a home. Well take it from me - what really counts is experience, agility and a deep understanding of the local market you are interested in. Carla has got all that. Oh and don't forget patience. Trying to get what you want in a market like Mountain View on a limited budget can be frustrating and demoralizing. Carla had the patience and the network to keep me from giving up - be it loan officers, property inspectors, contractors, cleaners and what have you. Save your energy and get Carla!
Thank you Carla! I hope I have a bigger budget next time and more cash to outbid the competition.
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $375K in East Palo Alto, CA.
We were so incredibly lucky to have found Carla on Zillow. We picked her totally at random and could not be happier with our luck. Not only is Carla super nice and easy to talk to, she also has a strong business mind and tons of experience in the market. Carla helped us through every step of the process from showing us many houses to helping our offer get picked from the pool of 5 offers. Ours wasn't even the highest offer but she sold us to the seller by attending the open house, meeting the listing agent and presenting our offer in person. She is easy to contact and always responds immediately to emails and phone calls. We have already recommended her to friends of ours and would have no hesitation recommending her to anyone.
Carla was our buyer's agent, and she worked very hard to help my husband and I find a home in the neighborhood we wanted to live in with inventory very low and cash investors snapping up available property left and right. She tirelessly wrote up offer after offer on which we were beaten out - through no fault of hers - we could not compete with the cash offers. Finally we were able to get an offer accepted on a property which was pretty much exactly what we wanted, for a fair price. There were some complications but Carla helped us navigate them all to a successful closing!
Carla was professional, upbeat, friendly, and supportive during the entire roller coaster ride. She always returned phone calls or emails within hours if not minutes, and went above and beyond to help answer questions outside of the usual boundaries of her job. She had helpful advice for us on our selling end, even though we had a different realtor representing our sale. She was always on time, too!
I highly recommend Carla whether you are buying or selling a property in the bay area!
