I hired Hovick Suleymanian as my realtor who works for the Samer Kuraishi Group. The first time I met Hovick, my impression of him was that he was honest and direct. Those were two of the key things I was looking for in a realtor. Initially, I did not select him as my realtor because he didn’t work the area I was most interested in, as much as a few other realtors I had spoken to (believing they would have known that market better). After using a few other realtors, that put their interests ahead of mine, did not know how to do comparison analyses (comps) and were more interested in showing me homes they thought were good for me vs what I was interested in, I went back to Hovick. For the record, Hovick’s lack of experience working that area was not a detriment at all. My experience tells me that a good realtor can effectively work any area. We looked at a lot of houses over six months and weren’t finding homes that captured my interest. I hereby give Hovick credit for thinking outside of the box, to find other alternatives that would possibly meet my housing needs. Throughout this process, we did see a few homes I liked, one was overpriced, another one someone else beat me to and a third one that I opted to pass on because I made an offer on a house I had previously seen (that I had initially really liked) and had gone off of the market (the day after I saw it and had told my previous realtor to put an offer on it). During the offer/acceptance process on the house I did make an offer on, it became apparent to me that that home didn’t fit my needs as well as I initially thought. We ended up withdrawing my offer based on shortcomings found in the home inspection. In the end, we did find a house that I liked and bought. I found Hovick to be very knowledgeable during the entire offer/acceptance/home inspection/mortgage/closing process. He was even more knowledgeable than some of the other professionals we worked with in these processes (for example: he was able to answer a few questions the closing agent would have been expected to answer and couldn’t). Hovick was very professional throughout the process. He was easy to work with, he made arrangements for his wife Lina or other agents from his office to meet me and show me properties when he was unavailable and he returned phone calls promptly. Hovick is a bright, friendly guy and I would whole-heartedly recommend him to my family and friends. If I ever have to buy or sell real estate again, Hovick will be the first realtor I call.

Sold a Townhouse home in 2015 for approximately $650K in Gaithersburg, MD.

Hovic really took the burden of the sales process off my plate and handled some tough negotiations really well. I highly recommend him. I sold the home because a pipe burst causing enough water damage that I lost my renter. Hovic helped me find a contractor to get the work done and got the property sold as quickly as I think it could have been. Kit  More Less
