We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Fishers, IN
I was working with Wendy, a real-estate agent for Reed Realtor’s. I had previously planned not to use a realtor but she assured me that she could save me 7-10 thousand dollars of the purchase price of my home and get my builder to pay closing cost. So when I went in to the building I was planning on buying from, they asked me was I working with a realtor. And I gave Reed Realtor’s name for representing me. (My realtor Wendi was not with me at this time) She did not show me this property or give me any information about the builder. Later I told her I went to a builder and seen a house I like, she had advised me to make all my selections she would look over the paper work and advise me at that time if it was a good deal. When it was all said and done, she did not get money off the purchase price of my house. I went to the builder and told them I did not want to use her as my realtor, but since I had put her down for representing me, I had to move forward with her being paid commission or I could not build with that builder. Moral to the story, I found out later that in buying a new home that is to be built, the prices are pretty much set. Not saying a realtor can’t get you any money off but I’ve learned you can do that yourself. And I also found out the realtor really works for the seller’s agent. There are laws that they are supposed to abide by in assisting you, but at the end of the day.. Everybody trying to get paid. Make sure your realtor has your best interest and that they will meet or exceed your expectations. My experience has been awful. Know your realtor before you sign anything. If they make you a promise or tell you something, make sure it’s in writing. If not you could end up with a realtor that did not earn their commission. You really have to ask yourself.. what do they do.. and can/could you do it yourself? Surprise yourself. check it out for yourself! You are smarter than you think! ?

As this buyer stated he choose to work with Reed Realtors. After all of Wendy's negotiations he is building a beautiful home at a price substantially below market. Wendy had worked with his girfriend and then him for over a year and yes she will have earned every penny of her commission when done.

Bought a Single Family home in 2009 in Noblesville, IN.
Sandie assisted me in purchasing my first home. She was absolutely wonderful. She gave honest, genuine advice and pointed out advantages and disadvantages of each home we viewed in response to my personal wants and needs. She made buying my first home easy and fun! I have now lived in my home for 3 years and still love it!
