When I first met with Sarah she took the time to walk me through the entire home buying process, from start to finish, to make sure I knew what I was getting in to. Since this was going to be my first house it was really nice to get that run down. After each step she would also reiterate the things that would come next; we’ve made the offer, now you do the inspection and the appraisal. She also started off by getting a sense of what my criteria were. She wanted to know what things were important, what were nice to have, and what things were deal breakers. From there we started off with an initial list of homes and based on my reactions to those she was able to further refine the list of properties she would show to me.
Sarah’s background in remodeling really came through as we toured homes. She was able to point out potential issues and general “good to have in mind” things that I would not have noticed otherwise. She also was able to give me a good sense of how much work it might take to bring a given home up to a good state from whatever condition the sellers had it in. This really helped me evaluate the true cost of any home I was buying. Through it all Sarah was very friendly and was willing to accommodate my schedule as we saw homes and worked through the purchase process on the home I eventually bought. Sarah made my first home purchase as painless as I could ever expect and I would definitely work with her again should I find myself looking to move again.
