   I am a native West Virginian, a married father of four beautiful girls, and a grandfather of two - a girl and (finally!) a boy.  I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers in meeting their West Virginia real estate needs.   I was born in Barboursville, WV where I attended Martha Elementary School, Barboursville Middle School (then Barboursville Junior High), and Barboursville High School (which has now been merged with Milton High into Cabell Midland High School).  After school, I pursued a Chemical Engineering degree at West Virginia Institute of Technology where I graduated in December 1994.  Ironically, I have been in sales ever since - primarily in the Medical Sales field and Real Estate Sales.  

     During my medical sales career, I was transferred to Memphis, TN where I lived with my family for five years before returning to West Virginia - which is home to me.  I remember the stress of this relocation experience and it has been a great asset as I work with relocating buyers and sellers.  I have experienced this and know the uncertainty and frustration that relocating buyers and sellers are feeling.  I use this experience and knowledge to make your home buying and home selling process easier.

     After transferring back to West Virginia, I became involved with buying and managing real estate investments and rental properties.  I was fascinated with the process from looking at properties to the closing table.  It was during this process, in 2005, that I obtained my real estate license and began working to serve others in their home selling and buying needs.I have been in the real estate services business in the Teays Valley, Hurricane, Scott Depot, Winfield, and Culloden real estate markets for many successful years and will be here for many more. This longevity and confidence comes from my real estate services to a great many buyers and sellers, and their recommendations to others that result in repeat and referral business that keeps me productive and successful.

     As a full service Teays Valley, Hurricane, Scott Depot, Winfield, and Culloden real estate professional, I work with buyers, sellers and investors in real estate transactions spanning all of the price ranges and property types.  

Residential Single Family – My residential single family services connect buyers with sellers every day, and I do it with professionalism and a total dedication to my clients. This property type is the majority of my market transactions, but by far not the only one in which I have expertise.  

Condominiums – While condominiums are residential, they're a very different market focus, and I am an expert in evaluating condos and helping buyers and sellers to cope with the special financing and homeowner concerns for this property type.  

Multi–family – Investors are great clients for me. Multi–family properties are a very unique market. The detailed return on investment and valuation calculations investors need to evaluate properties for rental are second nature to me.  

Commercial – Whether it's a shopping mall, a small office building or a restaurant space, I'm your commercial property specialist. Contact me for your commercial property needs in the Teays Valley, Hurricane, Scott Depot, Winfield, and Culloden real estate markets.  

Vacant Land – Land is a very special property class. It's relatively easy to show a gourmet cook a wonderful commercial kitchen in a home and see their eyes light up. It's more of a challenge to help a buyer or seller to realize the potential in a piece of land. I'm the best at it in the Teays Valley, Hurricane, Scott Depot, Winfield, and Culloden real estate markets.

Sold a Single Family home in 2015 in Charleston, WV.

Scott was very helpful and needed in our home buying and selling experience. We were very picky homebuyers this time around and looked for about a year and a half. He was always very responsive during this time. I really enjoyed touring houses with him as he was never opinionated or pushy, rather, he was always a calm voice of reason. Additionally, he sold our home in a record amount of time. So many people told us that the pictures on the internet were great! His technological skill was paramount to selling our home so quickly. We were immediately on three sites with lots of great pictures and had an open house (that was advertised on those sites, rather than just in the paper) within the week. During the contract phase he was very key in dealing with the other parties. I was so grateful to have his advice, but he was also really great at not pushing us to do anything we were uncomfortable with. His people skills are one of his greatest assets. I highly recommend Scott Grant.  More Less
