Bought a Condo home in 2014 in Shaw, Washington, DC.
Sean did a great job as our agent as my wife and I sought to become first-time homeowners. We are both busy professionals and Sean was invaluable in both explaining the ins and outs of the process to us, and also doing much of the grunt work so that we did not have to. We started our search in late January 2014 with relatively wide parameters in terms of size, location, styles, finishes, etc., and finally closed on a house that we love in late June 2014 that probably would not have fit within our initial search parameters. In the meantime, we had put in three offers on other places, including one that went under contract before it fell through because the seller had been sued and could not clear title. Throughout the 5-month process, Sean was very patient as we saw more and more places and narrowed down what we wanted. He was always available to explains the ups and the downs. There was never any pressure or indication that things were taking too long or that we should increase our budget or offers on properties in which we were interested. Sean also was very perceptive in figuring out our likes and dislikes; he did a great job narrowing down the listings of potential properties based on how we reacted to similar properties we had seen. He always made himself available to show one or both of us properties, whether that would involve several hours on a weekend, or time after normal business hours (and he would always offer to pick us up at home or at the office, as we do not have a car). He was incredibly responsive, almost always responding to our calls or e-mails in minutes or less. Even when he was not with us, Sean was working to find us a place. For example, the property that went under contract but fell through was new construction, and we had noticed that it was nearing completion. Sean stopped by during the workday to talk to the workers, gather intelligence, and get inside to see the place to confirm that it met our needs. Because of that initiative, we were able to get in, see the property, and make an offer before it even went on the market. I do not think that is something that you will get with just any agent. All told, we would highly recommend Sean to anybody looking for a real estate agent. He is diligent, responsive, respectful, smart, personable, and his radio is always playing New Wave hits, if that's your thing (and it was for at least one of my wife and me).
Working with Sean was such a positive and easy experience. As a first-time home buyer it was important that I had an agent I could trust, and Sean was great about guiding me through the whole process. His knowledge of the neighborhood was evident, and he got me a great deal on a listing before it officially hit the market. He was always responsive when I had questions and I look forward to having the opportunity to work with him again
Sean was very professional and accommodating in our search for a new house in the DC area. He frequently met us on a moment's notice and in multiple areas throughout the District. Sean was patient, knowledgeable about the market, and had many helpful tips in purchasing a new home. He was present at our closing to help answer questions and give us guidance. My wife and I had a very positive experience and would recommend Sean to anyone, without reservation.

Bought a Apartment home in 2014 for approximately $850K in Downtown, Washington, DC.
Sean was recommended to us by a close friend. He was a great pleasure to work with from the start of viewings to signing. He listened to us about our wishes for our new home and showed us multiple options that fit nicely with our wish list. He was consistently patient, knowledgeable and professional. Having him as our realtor made the process of purchasing a home much less stressful and easy for us. We really enjoyed working with Sean and would also highly recommend him to any of our family and friends.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $450K in Columbia Heights, Washington, DC.
Sean was great throughout the home buying process. He was always punctual to appointments, flexible with timing and very quick to respond to calls, texts or emails. We were first time home buyers and had a lot of questions as a result but Sean was unfailingly patient and thorough. He was great about giving advice when we asked but not trying to influence our decisions or up-sell us out of our price range. He listened very carefully to our criteria, cost constraints, concerns, etc. and found great listings for us. Most importantly, he was great to work with - a nice person and fun to spend time with.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $450K in Silver Spring, MD.
Sean was the best Realtor I have ever had and at the age of 57, I have dealt with many. What separates Sean from most realtors I have dealt with is is honesty and integrity.
I am not saying that realtors don't have this but what I am saying is, it really comes through with Sean. He conveys a complete understanding and insight to what I needed without trying to sell me something I do not want.
He found the condo that I purchased through an effort I had not heard of before and that required a lot of work on his part. But it worked and I could not be happier.
Sean Aalai is not only professional but passionate about his career. I think what set him apart from other real estate agents was his non-aggressive/non-pushy demeanor. I've worked with other real estate agents in the past and I don't think they even pay attention to what I've wanted as a potential home buyer. Sean paid attention to what mattered to me and he would even preview properties and let me know if I'd be wasting my time going to see them. I appreciated his insight and perspective immensely during the entire home buying process. I will definitely recommend him to other friends and family.
Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $800K in Chevy Chase, Washington, DC.
We had a wonderful experience working with Sean. The whole home buying process can be quite daunting, however, Sean and the Lindsay Reishman team helped to make our home buying experience stress-free and seamless. Not only is Sean super-knowledgeable about real estate and home buying, he is friendly, easy to talk to, and attentive to needs big and small. We will definitely be recommending Sean to our friends, family, and colleagues.
Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $650K in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC.
Sean is a pleasure to work with. He helped us figure out our options in a sellers market and was highly responsive and flexible with his time. He saw places on our behalf during the week, which was very important as we were both very busy with work. All in all, it was a very stress free experience working with Sean. I was recommended by friends, and I will do the same.
