I am a native of Maryland, and have been a Howard County resident since 1977, active in Howard County education and local community endeavors as well as the real estate profession. Since 1995 I have guided people through the process of buying and selling their homes. I am a lifetime member Long & Foster's Master's Club. My professional associations include National, State & Local Association of Realtors and Howard County Million Dollar Club. I am a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), Graduate of the Real Estate Institute and recently acquired the NAR GREEN designation promoting sustainable and energy efficient communities.

Boosters. Former President Howard County Auxiliary to Montgomery General Hospital Women's Board. Active at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Weekly tennis player and former soccer coach. Currently an empty nester with both children living and working in the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

I purchased a home recently, with the team of Sharon Keeny and Anne Douglas as my buyer's agent.<br/><br/>Sharon was available at the drop of a hat to show me houses I wanted to see as they came on the market. She pointed out features of the houses and issues that they might have. In particular, Sharon knew to look for a buried oil tank and got in writing that the sellers had abandoned it appropriately. She was knowledgeable about the values of homes in this area, and let me know her opinion when houses were priced too high and also when a house was appropriately priced. The selling prices of these homes later (or that they have not yet sold) indicated that she was correct.<br/><br/>There were many items Sharon and Anne handled, such as scheduling and attending inspections (and asking questions I didn't know to ask), picking up inspection reports and handling the radon remediation. These were all especially important since we were on a short timeline (34 days from writing the offer to settlement!). Not only were we on a short timeline, it was also very close to the holidays, which allowed my daughter who is away at college to be home to participate in the move.<br/><br/>In response to the inspection reports, Sharon discussed with me the benefits of alternatives such as requesting items to be fixed or requesting credit to be applied at settlement. <br/><br/>I am looking forward to working with Sharon and Anne in the Spring when I list the other house for sale!

Bought a home in 2014 in Annetta Gardens, Columbia, MD 21045.

My husband and I move a lot for work--this was our fourth house purchase. Sharon and her team made it our best. Sharon knows Howard County and steered us away from bad choices, found the perfect house, and managed the process on this end so we could concentrate on selling our house in another state. We ended up having a few tricky things come up and Sharon gave great, thoughtful, thorough advice. She and her team were easy to reach and always responsive. Sold a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $475K in Columbia, MD.

Sharon and Anne helped with the purchase (short sale) and sale (traditional) of one home in 2009/2012 and the purchase of a second home in 2013. The short sale was long and grueling but their knowledge and expertise ensured that the process was completed. I would highly recommend them so anyone.
