I obtained my real estate license in 1996 and my broker's license in 2005, and am licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)-required as of 2008. Along with the recent changes triggering conservative lending requirements came the mandate for more continuing education. Those of us who have survived the mortgage industry changes are better educated about current regulations and mortgage products than in years past.

My wife and I worked with Shelley and her team at Nevada County Mortgage, and the experience was nothing but enjoyable. We were buying our first house, which happened to be a short sale, and had a lot of questions about the process, loan types, financial scenarios, and things like that.
