Ratings & Reviews

We are now settled into the 4th home we have owned in Sag Harbor. We had not planned on listing our 3rd with an agent after an experience with another agency to sell our 2nd beloved home left us feeling very betrayed and extremely cautious. We figured that by now we had been through the ropes enough times and that the people who could represent and look out for us best would be...ourselves. Until we met Simon. Simon's entire approach to showing a listing he had to us was one that we found most refreshing and inspiring. He gave us all the time in the world to view the home while never once hovering as he was considerate in allowing us some privacy to discuss possibilites. Only after speaking with us and getting to know us, our needs, concerns and desires, did he contribute insight of what aspects of the home were a fit and how we could make adjustments within our budget in areas that needed modification to suit us best. We truly felt that we came first. Within a couple of days we partnered with Simon to sell our home. I say "partnered" in the fact that in dealing with Simon, no salesman ego exists. He does not take possession of a property to sell it. It becomes a joint effort with him always by your side with tuned in ears and an open mind for any ideas you might have while being ever reliable with sound professional advice and feedback. We also realized that there is a reason his logo is his name...he makes himself fully accountable and assessible. Simon found a buyer for our home by being a matchmaker. He was able to fit together the needs and wants of both seller and buyer creating a win win for both sides. We were able to secure the sale we needed to move on to our next project and our buyer was left well satisfied that he made a wonderful investment. Would I recommend Simon the Broker to a friend? I did friends that favor. Simon sold their house and guided them to the home they are now happily settled into.

Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $825K in Sag Harbor, NY.

At my closing, I was promised verbally and in writing that a hot tub would be repaired and would be in working order when I took possession of the house, Unfortunately, it was not, and I was then lied to by both Simon and his pool repair company. who claimed that the hot tub was indeed in working order, but mysteriously broke while it is off during the time it took me to move in.

Thanks for reviewing me and my firm, and thank you for buying my listing in June of last year. In reviewing this situation just through archived emails, I saw several emails that your broker wrote me where he said that Sparkling Pools went in and made repairs more than once until it was working, and at closing it was working. We know it was over 20 years old and my client, the seller, would have fared better by just buying a new one, but you got copies of those paid repair bills and the warranties associated with that work, yes? There were also several emails that your agent wrote about you not moving in but renting the house. Since you are just posting this concern now, and the Prudential no longer does business in town, maybe one of your tenants can help you with the mystery prior to your possession?

Sold a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $1.225M in Southampton, NY.

Simon Harrison Real Estate Brokers listed and sold my waterfront house in half the time we thought it might take in 2009, when selling real estate was kind of scary. We got what we needed in spite of the challenges in the marketplace. There were structural issues as a ceiling in one of the bedrooms had a water problem, and the pool permit was out of date, but every one of the people in the crew were knowledgeable and knew how to troubleshoot all of the issues, get them solved, and get a deal that worked well for us. John, Ginny and Simon all played a big part to navigate different offers that they generated, but dozens of brokers came and showed the house. They obviously have experience, as they inspired and motivated all the brokers from the area with open houses, and I saw my house advertised on more websites than I could have counted. They are helping another family member the next town over, and he is very happy about the activity that SimonTheBroker has been bringing. Call them, you'll see.
