you can always try! I know several people who have sold their homes in the last year on their own- find a website to list your home on- (zillow works!) craigs list is another way- there are discount companies that will list your home on the MLS- but a Realtor can help you from start to finish with all the legal compliances, paperwork, showings, advertising, contract negotiation, inspections, appraisals, and closings- (just to name a few!) Good luck!
Call a local Realtor and ask them to search for you! in KY we can search for properties that are listed for sale with the option to lease/purchase- we can also make phone calls to other agents to see if they have any clients that might be interested in a lease - purchase that are not currently listed that way- Good luck!
I'm with Craig on this! a Short sale is not something you should want to be looking for! there are SO many homes on the market at great prices- that would not take the time (sometimes a LOT of time) to get to close- if you really want to buy a Shortsale- PLEASE find a Realtor that knows Short Sales- the deal you get may not be worth all the effort needed to get from start to finish on a short sale- Good Luck!
get the name and phone number for a mortgage person recommended from a friend or family member- and just get pre-approved. it does't cost you anything, and as long as you are not letting several lenders run your credit, it doesn't hurt anything! They can answer all your ques!tions and will help you get started to owning your first home! Best of luck to you
STAGE YOUR HOME! It will show better- and it's easier for buyers to "see" the purpose for each room- and picture living there- empty rooms do not look inviting and tend to look smaller then they are- ask a Realtor or a friend who they would recommend- Good luck!
any local Realtor would be happy to help get the value of your home! Free of charge and with a smile ! ask a friend or family member for the name of a good one in your area-
ask someone you know and trust to give you the name of a Realtor in your area- we are trained to help you find the best deals and the best homes! as well as help you find a lender, inspector, title company, moving company- insurance company- and thats just to name a few of the things we help people with every day- and in most situations, the the realtor fees are paid by the seller- We wish you the best in your home search!
Know your Strengths! the DIY shows make it all look SO easy- if you are not selling your home- it's ok to try whatever you want (within reason!) if your home is on the market- I would not recommend doing any improvements you are not 100% sure you can handle- GOOD LUCK!
