WORKING WITH FIRST TIME BUYERS

Stephanie gained a unique knowledge of first-time buyer financing and down payment assistance programs through her work with a local nonprofit housing developer at the peak of the foreclosure crisis in Minneapolis.   Her knowledge base has not only allowed her to help buyers attain homeownership, but in many neighborhoods it has also helped her sellers achieve a sale.  As Stephanie points out:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Prior to becoming a Realtor, Stephanie had over 15 years of sales experience in the insurance industry and spent 2 years working with a nonprofit real estate developer, coordinating an effort to buy, renovate, and resell foreclosed homes in Minneapolis.  

Stephanie graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Business Management.  She enjoys restoring old homes, collecting antiques, gardening, and long walks with her husband, Robert, and their dog Hudson

She has excellent knowledge of the local market and with her connections she basically had a buyer lined up to purchase our property the moment it went on the market. This was my first home sale and Stephanie did an awesome job at making the experience as smooth as possible. Sold a Townhouse home in 2015 for approximately $100K in Maplewood, MN.

After getting married in 2010, my wife and I attempted to sell her impeccably maintained townhouse. After two realtors couldn't sell it, we reluctantly became landlords for 3-1/2 years. When our long-term tenant finally moved out, Stephanie was confident she could get it done and get a fair price. Stephanie advised us at every step of the process - what to clean, repair and replace before listing the home; color, style and staging choices; she had a specific market plan that demanded having it listed by a certain date to take advantage of the late-winter market; she used an incredible number of marketing channels to advertise the property, including flyers, agent emails, YouTube, Craigslist, Zillow, the MLS, and open houses; she personally followed up with the buyers' agents after each viewing; she timed her open houses to coincide with those at other properties in the area; and she knew exactly what price the market would bear. Her initial listing was within 5% of the final selling price. We accepted an offer within six weeks and closed the sale just 66 days after the listing. Bought a Single Family home in 2014 in Victory, Minneapolis, MN.

Before buying our first house we had gone to dozens of open houses and had been in contact with several realtors via email. We narrowed our list of potential realtors down to 3 that we wanted to meet with, Stephanie was the 3rd and final realtor we met with. She immediately stood out as someone who genuinely cared about her clients and what they wanted. She took the time to find out what we were looking for, she wanted to see flyers from the open houses we had attended and wanted to know what we liked and didn't like about each one. She said she had a very good idea of what we were looking for and set up several showings for us. Stephanie was very accommodating to our busy schedule when showing us houses. The first evening she showed us 4 houses and they were all very much what we were looking for. We decided to put an offer on one of the houses and she took great care of us through the whole process. Stephanie was very easy to get along with and was very knowledgeable about the market in all areas we were interested in buying. She kept us updated throughout the process and has checked in on us after our move, she even dropped cookies off for us a few months after our move.
