Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Gig Harbor, WA.

I cannot say enough about Steve Sloboda. What started out as, "hey lets look at this house" that went for sale next door to some family members, ended up being an awesome experience in purchasing our first home .His honesty and integrity are unmatched. He listened to what we wanted in our first home and provided us with several options based on what we wanted. Steve also made us feel very comfortable going thru the purchasing process. He literally walked us thru each step of the way and made sure that if we had any concerns or questions, they were answered/addressed and we did not move onto the next step until we were 100% ready and satisfied with our decisions. I think the best part of the experience was the fact that it didn't even feel like a business "deal". We went thru the process and all of a sudden I got a phone call and Steve said,"i got the keys to your new home." Wow... simply amazing. Thanks Steve!

Sold a home in 2011 in Sunrise Beach, WA 98335.

Steve was not only very professional, but very friendly and very approachable. Since we live outside the US (just outside London, England) there was alot of coorespondence through email and / or the phone ~ Steve was very prompt with his answers and very helpful with emailing us documents for our review. Yes, we would definately recommond Steve as an agent and, when we return to the US, if we move back to Washington, Steve will be the first person we contact when it comes time to find a new home.

Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $550K in Steilacoom, WA.

We are very happy with the services we received from Steve Sloboda and we highly recommend him. When we decided we were going to purchase a new house we wanted to act quickly and Steve was really responsive. Steve was able to make everything go smoothly with our purchase. He had to have some awkward conversations with the sellers and was able to do that without any problems. Steve was always very open with us about what was going on with the process and what to expect next. He also helped us with the paperwork to help us rent our house. My husband and I refer all of our friends to Steve.

Bought a home in 2011 in Alder, Eatonville, WA 98328.

Steve was a wonderful agent, my husband and I were very happy we found Steve. He is very knowledgeable about his field and what needs to be done and when; he went out of the way to help us in any way he could. He made the process of buying our new home easy, and as less confusing and stressful as possible. If we ever had a question (and I had lots) he was very happy to answer my questions. He got back with me very quickly and we very much appreciate what he did for us. I would recommend Steve to anyone. He will not let you down, he does what is says he will do! He is the best!! Listed, but didn't sell my Condo home in 2011 in New Tacoma, Tacoma, WA.

I listed my unit with Steve from January to July of this year. Unfortunately, my unit in the Perkins building did not sell. I realize that the economy has been down and there continues to be a lot of inventory in the Tacoma area.

My complaints about Steve are as follows:

When I approached Steve about selling the property, he expected that the unit would sell between 3-6 months if priced between 275-300K. When there wasn't any movement on the property Steve's only suggestion was to lower the price rather than aggressively marketing the unit by increased showings or advertising.

Initially, I had signed a 3 month contract with Steve. A potential buyer made an offer close to the end of the first contract. The deal fell through and Steve neglected to tell me that the buyer had purchased another property until after I had signed a new contract with him. How convenient.

I am in the process of trying to rent the unit. The family that responded to an add about my unit said that they had called my Steve several times, but never received a call back. They were very interested in the place and were hoping to schedule a showing. It was disappointing to find out that Steve may have ignored a potential sale.

I was dissatisfied with Steve and would not recommend his services.

I shared creative ways the unit was being marketed. Staging was suggested, I delivered fliers to nearby businesses & featured it in the Convention Center's Visitor Kiosk. Most responses from showing agents said it was “above market value”. We were one of 86 units for sale downtown. 50 of those bank owned or short sale. In our time for sale, two new buildings became bank owned w/ 30% - 50% drops. It was evident that price correction was the only option we had. The building was not VA eligible thus causing the Buyer to go away from condos. No negotiation can overcome rejected financing. I met w/ at least seven parties that called. Not sure how the people mentioned got by me. I apologize for missing them. This feedback is valid & worthy of attention. I'll give my all to stop this from becoming a trend. I've spent a long time establishing a stellar reputation. Being the 3rd agent hired w/ this same result leaves me confident my service wasn’t the entire problem.

Steve Sloboda has helped me purchase two homes in the past 6 years and both experiences were very positive for my wife and I. Buying or selling a home can be very stressful and I felt at ease in both transactions based on his professionalism. I have 100% confidence in Steve based on his aptitude in the negotiation process, expediting document timelines, and having my best interest at heart. This is why I will continue to refer my friends and family when they need assistance in buying or selling a home.

Sold a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $275K in Steilacoom, WA.

Steve was always ahead of us from start to finish as we bought a new house and sold another. In todays ever changing world (especially in the real estate field) we certainly appreciated Steve's knowledge of current practices and closing documents to expect. He was also very good at helping us to negotiate best pricing (on both ends) while taking into account our own needs. We knew when we were in a position of strength and when we weren't. The process of buying a new home can be very complicated & stressful but we put our faith and trust in Steve and never regretted it. It was almost like he became part of our family during this time frame and we enjoyed that because he is a very genuine individual. I recommend Steve to anyone about to embark on selling and/or buying a new property.

We had a great experience with Steve! We just bought our first home and we were a bit new to the whole house searching/shopping experience. Steve was not only tremendously patient with us, but he took more of an educational approach than a salesman approach. He took the time to inform us about the different neighborhoods (including history, style of houses in that neighborhood, etc.). Also, he made us aware of shortcomings in homes that we would have otherwise missed. An attribute that we greatly appreciated. Lastly, Steve was helpful through the end of the transaction and beyond. He helped negotiate not only the sale price, but also the repair work necessary after the home inspection, and has provided us novice homeowners with some useful tips about transitioning from renters to owners.
