Steve is a fantastic real estate agent. My wife and I interviewed several reps from some of the larger local firms and were not impressed with the reps or their fee structures. We heard about Steve from a friend who had a great experience and they also said he could save you lots of money over the larger firms. This was indeed true, saving us thousands on both the purchase and sale of a home.
Helping us sell our house:
He is very knowledgeable about homes (sales and construction) and worked with my wife and I to educate us about the entire sales process. He was patient and answered all of our naive questions. The actual listing of the house was fast and painless, he went around and measured all the rooms and took some great pictures. The listing was up the same day. It turned out that our house had a structural issue with the foundation, this is normally the kiss of death for a house sale...This is where Steve really shined. He calmed us and the buyer down and worked some negotiating magic to preserve the deal (this was important to my buying a house story, below). Closing was fast and efficient. He came prepared and was there precisely when he needed to be.
Buying a house;
Steve took the time to talk with us to discover what we were looking for in our next house and neighborhood. As we would go look at houses he was very attentive to our comments/likes/dislikes. Each house hunting trip he planned got better and better as he learned what we were looking for, I was very impressed, as our time is valuable. We finally did find a house we fell in love with and Steve was able to negotiate us a fairly large break off the listing price. The seller was a relocation company and he went toe to toe with them to get us a great deal. We had gone to contract on this house quickly after our current house went to contract...then the structural issue arose from an inspection of the house we were selling. This could have blown both deals but Steve managed to hold it together masterfully. He calmed everyone down and pulled in experts and engineers to assess the situation. We are very grateful that it all worked out.
Bottom line is we were very impressed with him and would highly recommend him to anyone that is in need of a competent agent. He is a true professional that is highly organized, and responsive. At first we were skeptical because his fees were less than the larger firms but man are they gone now. It is rare these days to get great service at a realistic price...those larger firms just want way too much money for what they do.

My husband and I worked with Steve in the spring of 2012 to sell our first home and buy our second. We considered FSBO, but ultimately decided we wanted the expertise of a realtor and, with Steve's financial model, the cost remained quite reasonable (much less than a traditional realtor). But Steve was more than a "bargain". He gave us constructive feedback about how to stage our home. He provided us with numerous listings to review and NEVER showed us a house above our price range. He identified features in a new home that would save us money (e.g., "This house has a brick exterior/new windows/an updated HVAC system"). He was a fierce, fair negotiator. He was responsive to emails and calls within hours, if not minutes. Steve is a direct communicator with a strong sense of ethics. Our experience with him was wonderful and I would give him my highest recommendation.
We used Steve Wilson when we sold our house in August 2012. He helped us negotiate a good price for the house we were selling as well as the house we purchased. He was with us every step of the way. We would not hesitate to use Steve and his company again, should we decide to sell our house and purchase another, or refer him to others. We were also able to save a lot of money as well with the low fee he charges. We were very happy with his service.

In addition to FSBO sales, Premier Properties of the Triangle is a great option for anyone comfortable with the real estate market and sales process but not in a position to do all the legwork themselves. To take advantage of a market opportunity, we needed to purchase one home prior to selling another, which presented a few challenges to say the least. Our current house was purchased from an exceptionally-bureaucratic relocation company, and our prior house was sold to a buyer who picked a poorly-qualified title company to handle the closing.
Both transactions required far more of Steve's time and energy than they would have under normal circumstances, but Steve came through for us in both cases. We bought the house we were looking to buy at a great price, and we sold the house we were looking to sell at the price we wanted. Between the buyer's commission rebate and the very reasonable seller's commission, we saved a small fortune in realtor fees and we couldn't be happier with the result.
Steve Wilson handled our complicated transaction with a professional manner. He handled both the selling and buying of both homes at once, saving us a large sum of money. Steve was responsive and gave us his time without hesitation. We have recommended him to friends in the 18 months since.
