Bought a home in 2013.
We had Steven look for my Mom who was moving out here from Las Vegas and he really worked his butt off for us. He works with all situations and he also responds very quickly to your email,texts, and phone calls. He is a wonderful person and is very knowledgeable about different aspects of real estate and he sends a very comprehensive listing of open houses for Saturday and Sunday and also lets you know what the market is doing and what interest rates are at.

Steven stuck by us as we navigated many options all over Los Angeles. He has excellent skills stemming in large part I'm sure from his production background, and he is extremely thorough, helpful, knowledgable, and unlike many agents he moves very quickly. He helped make a difficult purchase smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

One of my life long dreams was to purchase a home and thanks to Steven Rood, my dream came true! I am picky, emotional and a complete control freak, but Steve knew exactly how to help me in my house hunt. Steve is a well of information, organized, reliable and extremely detailed. Steve’s patience, integrity, and willingness to always go above and beyond for me will never be forgotten and is commendable. Steve’s eye for detail and great sense of humor helped ease the stress associated with first time home buying. Bought a home in 2012.
I recommend Steven to anyone who I know is looking for a place of their own. He worked so patiently with us over many months of looking. We had very stringent location requirements and equally high expectations for what we wanted. Steven really made a point of getting to know what we liked and didn't like, and sent us properties that met our desires. My husband and I were very new to the process of buying a home, but Steven was always there. He was even there after hours to answer questions, tell us what to expect next, gave us advice on financing when things became complicated and just acted as our personal sage. If we decide to look for another place in a few years, Steven will be our first call.

First time buyer and seller here. Steven expertly guided me though the long and complicated process of getting all the requirements organized and was there to organize and inform me at every step of the way. I think most helpful was his ability to divert around the various roadblocks that can come up in the process. He was great at understanding my requirements and finding great properties to look at too. I'll be going with him when it's time to trade up.
A couple of years later it came time to sell and he was equally great with helping me through that process, and we got it sold really quickly for a good price which was great. So with that experience I would absolutely recommend Steven to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in LA.

Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $1.725M in Santa Monica, CA.
Steven is an incredible agent. I had worked with other agents in the past and was frustrated by their lack of organization. Steven made sure that he knew exactly where the prospective houses were and drove by them to make sure we didn't get lost. He made plans for snack breaks on longer days and even entertained the idea of visiting several close-by houses via bicycles. We saw more than 50 homes over several months, with each visit he became more and more calibrated to what we would like. When we finally settled on one, Steven was not finished. He spent tremendous amount of time walking me through what to expect in the process. He is an amazing agent for a first time, or any time, home buyer.

Steven was so incredibly patient and encouraging through a very long search for the right house. Several other realtors had laughed me out of the office when they saw my price range and what I wanted; Steven advised us that it would be more difficult to find something, but not impossible. He kept sending us options, reviewed our criteria with us when we got frustrated, was always ready to cast a wider net to make sure we weren't missing anything, and helped to keep us focused on what was most important to us. After almost two years, we found a great house that fit ALL of our criteria and our price range, and he calmly guided us through an unusual bidding process and all the inspections.

Bought a Townhouse home in 2012 for approximately $275K in Culver City, CA.
Steven was very thorough in explaining the entire process to this first-time buyer. He listened to what I was looking for, and vague as that was he helped to refine what would work for me. He never put forward anything outside of my financial or geographical comfort ranges and was always quickly responsive to my calls and emails. Escrow was extended three times and he stuck with me throughout it all!

Steven stuck with us through thick and thin over our long search. He kept feeding us properties, sorted through them with us and arranged his schedule around our availability to view properties.
When we found a house, he followed through on all the inspections and paperwork questions we had. He helped out through the entire purchasing process.
And at all times it was a soft sell, always offering, never pushing. A great experience.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $450K in Crenshaw, Los Angeles, CA.
Steven was an excellent Real Estate Agent, particularly for us as first time home buyers. As a first step, he walked us through the home buying process and really took the time to understand our needs. He has tremendous knowledge of Westside neighborhoods and sent us listing updates for our area of interest weekly. He also sent us newer potential listings as they posted up. To say he was patient about looking at lots of houses with us is an understatement. Steven was SO helpful in each location and has a good eye for (and was honest about) the benefits and flaws of each place and neighborhood. He was also ready with recommendations for financing and insurance when the time came and we loved the folks he recommended. When we ultimately did find a house, Steven was a strong advocate for us and negotiated a hard deal for us. His ability to explain all of the complicated paperwork in layman's terms was reassuring. I can't say enough about Steven. I recommend him every chance I get!
