The fact is, there isn't much more to the average agent than the agent themselves. Most agents operate a one-person show - and they're probably breaking their backs trying to do a good job for their clients. Most agents couldn't really work any harder than they're already working.

We know, because we used to do it this way.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $150K in Dayton's Bluff, Saint Paul, MN.

We would highly recommend Jason Stockwell as an agent buying or selling. He was our agent for a purchase in St Paul 3 years ago in 2011. As first time buyers who are relatively recent transplants to St. Paul with fairly busy work schedules, Jason was a great agent for us. He was extremely responsive to e-mails, texts and calls. Jason was available to show us a property at a moment’s notice. He would often give us a good sense of the value of particular properties and on a few occasions steered us clear of properties when he felt we could find something better in the area. Jason was able to help us write the best possible offers on the property we were interested in and kept in close contact with the sellers agent, helping us get our bid in and buy our 1st home. In 2014 we needed to relocate to Illinois, and Jason also was able to help us on selling our home. Jason said he would be able to sell the house in about 1-3 months. Jason was able to sell the house within 27 hours the 1st time, but when the offer fell through 7 days later, Jason said not to worry, he placed the house back on the market Saturday night, and by Monday morning we had 2 offers. We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Apple Valley, MN 55124

Jason was listing a property for sale that my husband and I were interested in. We sent an offer in on a Wednesday and expected to hear back within the next few days. Jason responded on a Friday and said the offer was acceptable (aside from a few changes) and we could sign off on it the following Monday. He said it couldn't be done over the weekend because he couldn't get ahold of the owner. This was a lie. Jason was the listed owner of the property. Over the weekend he continued to negotiate minor details of our agreement with our agent. He was extremely slow to respond, avoided questions, and providing answers to our questions that we soon learned were completely dishonest. By the time Monday arrived we had already decided to cancel the deal, but before we did we learned there were other offers on the property. It is my belief Jason stalled over the weekend in the hopes that other offers would come in, and probably used our offer to negotiate with others. Not only is this simply poor business practice for a real estate agent, but Jason also failed to negotiate openly and honestly with us by notifying our agent of the other offers in existence that he was considering (our agent found out through a listserv used by other agents). Our offer was first, it was for list price, it was more than fair and it should have been properly considered. We should have had an answer on our offer before the other offers came in. We should not have been kept on the hook while Jason shopped around. Stay away from this agent.  More Less
