Tim Sutherland and the entire Suntrust team was excellent! Our loan closed within the time frame promised. Tim was always very prompt at returning my phone calls and emails, often within minutes. Closed purchase loan.Summary:
Tim Sutherland is a great loan officer, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone who is in search for a loan officer. Tim helped me to purchase my first home in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I spoke to three loan officers about securing a loan, and Tim by far exceeded my expectations. He provided an upfront estimate of closing costs and pushed rates to me daily. It took 3 months between initial contact and the time I signed the final purchase agreement, and Tim and his team was patient with me all throughout this time, answering questions about loan products & generating multiple pre-approvals from me.
The loan application process was simple and straightforward. His office operates on an electronic system, so it was easy to submit documents online. I received constant updates on the loan application process, and was kept in the loop as to what to expect for the next steps.
If you want a great loan officer, go with Tim & his team. You'll get a great loan officer, and very competitive rates (lowest of what I could find!).…More Less

We could only dream that in less than 60 days that we could close and lower our interest rate.
Well that dream came true, Tim's team stepped up the plate and we were able to close in less than 60 days and lower our interest rate to save us a significant chunk of money every month. Yes we are still underwater (Harp 2 does not address the principle just the rate) but we are now in a better position, so hopefully we will not be underwater for long
Tim Sutherland was great to work with, his team responsive to every silly question and inquiry that we made. We always got a response in less than 24 hours. Tim's team practically held our hand through the process and were absolutely wonderful. Donna followed up on our emails and Peter LaForce answered all our phone calls and explained things such that a 6 year old could understand (I needed that).....
