I am in the Bayarea condo vs townhouse which one is better for investment /retirement home

I prefer townhomes for the fact that fewer walls are shared, however from an investment point of view, statistically they fared about equally on the run up in pricing and the retreat. Focus on your needs for a future retirement home, for if you plan to live in it during retirement, you won't be selling if even if it goes up in value. -sunil

What kind of information are you looking for? New REO's, or properties coming up for auction or those in pre-foreclosure?There are subscription sites like Foreclosureradar.com and also realtytrac, but there are limited access free sites as well out there. I've never been a fan of APR. It's an imaginery number, that few people loan officers know how to calculate. I prefer to comparision shop the rate & fees (including points. It's simple to understand, and since escrow & title will be the same - all you need to do is focus on the rate and lender fees.

Is it possible ?

this home was sold on 12/14/09 for $410,000.it went pending in July, and is listed in MLS as a 2Br/ 1.5 Bath. It was a short sale.
