We can’t say enough great things about Sue Paul. Sue is truly an expert in short sales. She is extremely knowledgeable and honest. She was totally dedicated us. Sue guided us through the short sale process and was patient answering any concerns we had. She explained all aspects of the sale in laymens terms. We had a difficult tenant living in our property and we were at our wits end. She handled each situation delicately and with professionalism. We were always calmed after speaking with Sue. There were many late night calls and emails due to our uncertainty. Sue was always there for us. She is very responsive, answering texts, phone calls, and following up on emails. Bought a Single Family home in 2005 for approximately $575K in Petaluma, CA.
I first met Susan through a referral from a women's realty group, and we hit it off right away. She worked tirelessly to find my ideal home.. even though my vision of home morphed in the process. Sue is very knowledgeable about all things real estate.
You can't go wrong with Susan Paul as your realtor!"
Sold a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $325K in Fairfax, CA.
Sue Paul helped me with an atypical short sale in a condominium. The process and paperwork was effortless for me because of her. Her knowledge and experience in the distressed housing market is evident and she navigated challenges related to loans masterfully.
She also is a warm, caring professional who is enjoyable to work with. I will definitely call on her again when I am ready to buy.
I worked with Susan to sell my home, and receive approval for a short sale from Wells Fargo--not the easiest of sales! Susan was wonderful, encouraging, patient--a great agent and a good person to have in your camp during a sale!
Sue Paul has a great work ethic, is very knowledgeable in her field and goes the extra mile. I live in Colorado and have been trying to sell a property there so that I may purchase a second home in California. I have made 6 visits to California and Sue has spent countless hours driving me around looking at different areas to live and showing me property. She takes my calls and questions with a smile in her voice and responds to emails promptly. I feel with her help I have nailed down what areas I want to live in and what kind of property I want to purchase. Once my property sells I feel very confident Sue will help me find exactly what I want. I know she will hold my hand through the process and make the it go as smoothly as possible. I wouldn't even consider anyone but her helping me with this second home purchase. She's honest, trustworthy, and just a joy to work with!
Bought a Single Family home in 2010 in San Rafael, CA.
We used Sue to buy our first house in Marin. She was exceptionally patient with us. We couldn't find anything first time around as the market was not in favor, but she stuck with us and as things turned in our favor, we were able to find a house. She always made herself available, taking me around to see homes on my lunch hour at work and then taking myself and my husband out on the weekends. She always had a great energy about her. She was able to help us make an offer that would be accepted and helped navigate through the negotiations, which was not so easy. I would highly recommend her!
I listed with Sue when selling my condo and couldn't be happier. It proved to be a difficult sale due to endless stipulations placed by the banks. Sue's knowledge and dedication were what made the sale possible. Where many would have given up, she persevered. I can't thank her enough for her efforts and highly recommend her services.
Bought a Single Family home in 2011 in San Rafael, CA.
My fiance and I met Sue in the summer of 2011 to look at a short sale she had listed in downtown San Rafael. We were just kicking tires at that point and weren't serious about buying. Several months later we decided we wanted to move forward with buying a home, and our budget limited us to what would likely be a short sale. We met with Sue in her office one weekend to review some houses we found on the internet. Sue did extensive research on each listing and was able to recommend ones she thought were worthwhile and steer us away from ones she thought might be problematic due to multiple banks/loans on the property, undesirable neighborhoods, etc. Sue was very patient throughout the house hunt process. I must have sent her 5 to 10 listing a week to check up on.
We finally found the home of our dreams in the San Rafael hills and thought we surely could not afford it. Sue ran comps in the neighborhood and we decided to make an offer to the bank based on this info (it was a short sale). The listing agent for the property was not familiar with short sales, and Sue was able to guide him through the process - prodding him at times to move more quickly.
Months passed. We thought the bank would likely reject our request, so we started looking at more homes. Sue ensured us that short sales take time and everything was on track, but we were antsy. We looked at many more properties throughout Marin, and even put offers in on a couple. Sue never hesitated to show us a place, and spent a lot of time reviewing our offers and submitting them for us, even though she knew our original offer on our dream house would go through.
Finally, about six months after our offer to the bank, they accepted our offer on our dream home. Sue guided us through the process, set up an inspection for us, worked with the listing agent to ensure we would have acces to the property for inspections, and managed all the paperwork involved in the home buying process. Due to my busy work schedule, I signed the papers one evening after a mobile notary delivered them to me. Things went off without a hitch and we had our keys a couple of days later - we finally had our first home!
Sue works tirelessly for her clients. I don't think I've met another realtor with as much dedication to her clients and breadth of knowledge of the Marin housing market. I would recommend Sue to anyone, especially if they are looking to buy a short sale, or to list one. She was always compassionate to the people we met during our house hunt who were losing their homes. She truly understands all aspects of short sales. Needless to say, when the day comes to list our property, we'll be giving Sue a call.
Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $300K in San Rafael, CA.
When we moved from San Rafael due to a job and decided to sell our house, a short sale was our only option because the house’s value had plunged so drastically since we purchased it in 2005. After talking with several local Realtors, we chose Sue Paul because of her vast experience handling short sale transactions. Given the complexity of these transactions, we knew we’d need someone experienced not only with the normal real estate business side of things but also the nuances of negotiating directly with lenders.
Sue went beyond our expectations throughout our time working with her. Not only did she find us buyers (not just once, but twice, as the first buyers backed out due to an unforeseen issue with the house), but she deftly and doggedly worked with both of our lenders to advance our short sale. Throughout it all, Sue remained calm and determined and maintained an optimistic spirit that kept us going. She never lost faith that we would ultimately succeed in our short sale, despite the many ups and downs and the unusually long process (13 months). We were elated when the sale closed in March 2012 and it was obvious Sue shared in our joy.
Without Sue’s expertise and persistence, we truly believe our sale never would have closed as a short sale. She absolutely made all the difference in allowing us to move on and to start rebuilding. We will be forever grateful to her.
