T.R. Lawing is the property manager for the home I currently rent. I signed a two (2) year lease. The renting process was smooth and the leasing agent was very helpful and responsive. The home I'm renting is older so I expected to have some maintenance issues. The maintence department, in both issues that I've had thus far, was rude and nonchalant. When an issue arises you have to submit the maintence request in writing. I've submitted both requests online but eventually have to contact the office for an update or status. The property manager, Cynthia, is rude and unprofessional. As much as I detest moving, if the responsiveness of the maintence department doesn't improve, I'll be moving. Regardless, I'll never rent from this company again.
Agent was slow to submit applications, gave numerous contradictory excuses for our application being denied. Failed to provide a full refund as promised, keeping money for work they never performed. Wouldn't wish the experience on my worst enemy.
Helped me rent a Single Family home in Prosperity Church Road, Charlotte, NC.
My experience with TR Lawing was not smooth when it came down to a move in date per my application which was over thirty days & less than 45 days prior to me relocating from Ohio to North Carolina. TR Lawing was unreasonable after pulling my credit and doing a background check & taking an application fee and deposit, they wanted first months rent & deposit up front after they dicovered that my application had a move in date 30days past application date to secure the property & take it off of the rental listing on there site. I paid the deposit prior to the discussion regarding TR Lawing asking for 1st months rent due to move in date. In conclusion, TR Lawing did not give me 5 days before the put the property back on their list to rent with my deposit accepted and took another application & deposit which left me without an option to move on the date of my relocation scheduled. I believe I was treated unfairly & without an option to be treated fairly as a secured customer/tenant in which I am not accustomed to this type of unfair treatment. I had to request my deposit back which should have been automatic after renting the residence to other applicants.

The agent that assist me was great but the property manager never called us back and couldn't be reached so after over a week we ended up taking another property of TR Lawing , the second property manager was great and approved us within minutes and everything went smooth after that.
Found a tenant for a Single Family home in Firestone-Garden Park, Charlotte, NC.
Our experience has been very positive so far from working with one of the property managers in T. R. Lawing Realty. She is very nice, very responsive and very knowledgeable. It is very likely we will ask her to manage more of our properties in the future.
