I purchased a downtown condo unit and just closed. Since I live outside of California, I did all the research and found the property on my own. I needed an agent just to represent me in the process of making an offer and taking care of details during the escrow and closing. This agent did minimal work for a commission of over $11,000.00. On the day of closing, she was unavailable, out of town. There were many issues that needed to be addressed. She said she will take care of all the loose ends when she returned, and urged me to go ahead to pay for the property and closed the escrow.
Once the escrow closed, she acted she was no longer interested. I am holding the bag of loose ends. I was foolish enough to trust this agent. I expected at least some professionalism from an real estate agent. As the saying goes, you never can trust anyone that has a title of "broker" or "agent".…More Less
