Tanette is a new agent and could be excused for not being an expert, but there is no excuse for having no interest in learning, a complete lack of responsiveness, no initiative and no business sense. Tanette represented me in trying to complete the purchase of a short sale property. She had no understanding of the short sale process and despite doing my own research on-line and telling her how it was supposed to work she ignored my requests or, even worse, excused her lack of effort by writing me condescending emails implying that I didn't understand. From the date of our full price offer on an FHA short sale on July 16 until the bank pulled the plug on the deal in early October I never received ANY specific information about the Seller's application to be approved for the FHA short sale program - not even the date that the Seller submitted the application. This despite multiple requests from me by email and telephone and despite the bank obtaining an appraisal, two proposed closing dates that were postponed and an increase in the amount of my offer to provide the bank with its 88% net of appraised value in accordance with the FHA program. A simple, more objective example of Tanette's basic lack of knowledge and of Carla Trimber Realty's lack of training and support for its agents - Tanette told me to hire an attorney to complete a one-page boilerplate Power of Attorney so that papers could be signed on my behalf while I was out of the country. Only after multiple emails and my stubborn insistence that there had to be a simple form lying around somewhere did Tanette put me in touch with the title company who did the job for free.
