Speak to an FHA approved lender in your area. If your credit has been clean for the last few years, you have money in the bank and can debt ratio, they should be able to tell you what is keeping you from getting approved. Hope this helps.
Can I purchase a house around 115k range with 5k down? and a 580 score?
Answer
Its difficult to answere your question with just that information. Contrary to what you hear on the news there are banks still lending and there are folks still buying.
Why should I buy a house that I know will continue to plummet in value? Isn't that stupid???
Answer
Well there are some benefits of being a homeowner. First are you considering buying for investment or to occupy the home and use as your primary residence? Second how long do you intend to hold the home for? There are several benefits of buying in this market...prices are low and interest rates are historic lows as well. If you were priced out of the market before, it benefits you to talk to a Real Estate professional to find out your options and see if owning a home will benefit you or as you say is stupid. I dont think owning a home is stupid it just might not be right for some people. For investment...well there if you are in a position to do so, its a great time to look into it.
Price error?
Answer
Zillow is just taking information from county records. Maybe it was a distress sale and the investor just made a very good buy, or it could have been transfered to family members. Either way that is what county records are showing. If your worried about affecting the value of your home; for a refinance the appraiser will explain the area and disregard it as a comp (unless that is the average price in the area) if you are considerding selling, the market will drive the price not a single home.
why do you list it as 4 bed rooms and 3 bath rooms when it actually has 5 bedrooms and 4 1/4 baths?
