One of our very kind & generous folks invited us to a recent barbecue at their new place among their family & friends, which I thought was very thoughtful that they include us.. Another offered to take us sailing. We've had our share of kind gifts and surprises at the holidays..Someone has got to have a story about a very happy seller remembering them in some way!!
Also, an evaluation will help you get some better clarity as to how your home compares with the other comparables and the features/amenities they offer. As far as what kind of pricing to set - I've always believed that the market will speak once you expose it.Good luck!
Say the agent is on a 50/50 split with the house? The 6% gets divided between the buying & selling agents, so 3% to each side. Which comes out to about $24,300 per side. That means that I would be left with $12,150.00, less any expenses and federal & state income taxes, which last year for me, turned out to be ONE THIRD of my total earnings..Some people that assume that all of this money is going to the agents - perhaps they need to be better educated about where it all goes!
I still marvel at the people who think of real estate transactions and contracts like buying a car - even after you explain what the contract entails to no end and make sure that they are aware that they can be liable for paying two agencies..
Why do some investors believe we work for free?
