Our home-buying experience had many challenges along the way. The property we originally tried to purchase had issues between the bank and the builder, and the bank evetually took the property back. Ted was there every step of the way to guide us and provide information to help us make informed decisions.

Ted has key knowledge of St. Louis City and County real estate markets, price trends/changes, and the sales process overall. Clearly, a good level of experience to draw from. But beyond the general level of expertise you'd expect from most agents, he has a significant legal background in real estate that's MUCH more extensive than the average agent. (Likely more extensive than the vast majority of agents.) My trust in his ability to spot issues or concerns with the paperwork made for a smooth and pretty stress-free process when it came time to sign the parade of documents. Only a couple of miscommunication hiccups during the period when the house was showing. Otherwise, his advice made sense and worked out well for my sale.

Ted was able to get us the home we wanted, for the price we wanted, and at the time we wanted it. I couldn't have asked for more. It truly is enjoyable to work with some one that willing to do what it takes to keep you satisfied.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $325K in Saint Louis, MO.
We started looking for houses about 6 months ago and each one we liked Ted quickly got us an appointment for a showing. When we finally found the house we wanted, there were several other interested buyers. Ted advised us to act quickly and we decided to put in an offer. Ted drafted a contract Saturday morning, hours after we had seen the house, which was subsequently accepted by the seller that Saturday night. The home was listed for sale on a Friday night and the seller accepted our offer less than 24 hours later. Ted then did a great job negotiating for us after the inspectors came through so that all the repairs not made by the seller were credited from our closing costs. We were very happy, and in the end got the house of our dreams for a price we were happy to pay.

In 2009-2011 we had this home listed for sale with a couple of realtors who were not Ted. The place did not sell. In mid-2011 we decided to list the property, which we were no longer living in as for lease. That initial lease listing agent was not Ted. After two months of sitting vacant as a property listed for lease, the leasing agent finally was able to find an applicant for the lease, but she neglected to tell us that the applicant was a registered sex offender (thank God for google). At that point a friend who uses Ted to manage leasing of his property recommended Ted. Ted was able to find us a very good set of tenants on the first day the property was listed for lease. The second time the house was listed for lease we had an excellent tenant lined up in under one week. I have no idea how he was able to find these people so quickly. Ted has a keen eye for small fixes that I am convinced helped our property to sell. How can I be so sure of that? Well, we offered the property to our tenants, who declined to purchase. However, just after we had made the improvements that Ted suggested, the tenants decided to put in an offer on the house. I feel confident that Ted knows a lot more than the other realtors I have dealt with and perhaps more importantly that he showed real concern for our family's best interests.
