Besides claiming the house, I would contact an agent regarding the information you want changed.  Example:  Square footage or lot size are better to be approximates verses information that has not been verified with a professional such as an appraiser.  You may also want to get a second opinion on what you want to post. Not to scare you but we live in a litigious time.

Higher priced homes usually do take longer to sell...main reason you have less buyers.  How many of us can afford a 20 million dollar estate...answer:  Less than 10% of the population.  The United States has more Billionaires than any other country, approximately 360.  The youngest as of this posting is Mark Zuckerberg with about 38 Billion net worth...  Hey Mark, what about a vacation home here in Arizona?

When must a listing agent turn a home to 'pending' and cease further showings

Answer
Every state has different rules.  In AZ we have UCB = under contract taking backup offers.  I always ask my clients to look at it if they were selling the home.  Would you want to take your house completely off the market while waiting to see if buyer sells his home or qualifies for the loan?  A good sellers agent is just trying to protect their seller interest which is their job.  In this market you have many reason to get back up offers just in case.  If you do sell your home and remove contingency after you are approved for loan...then you can move forward even if their is a backup as long as you meet your dead lines.  I am a big believer in if it was meant to be...as I have seen this work out time after time for all the right reasons.

I think this is why Zillow calls them Zestimates...I find it just gives my clients whether they are in Idaho or in China an idea of approximate prices in the area.

Answer
If your home is currently listed with an agent they will be able to post it for you or you can contact Zillow directly and they can walk you through step by step.

I work in the 85254 area and this answer varies as the zip code covers one of the largest areas in Scottsdale.  Since this area includes older homes over 25 years and some newer areas, prices can vary from $135.00 per SF to $285 per SF for homes that have been completely remodeled and in a great location. If you are thinking about listing your home and need to know exactly what homes are going for in your area you can contact an agent under find a pro tab that can see your home first hand and give you neighborhood comps.

Should we select an independent agent or one from the big local realty companies?

Answer
Larger agencies don't always equal best agents.  Many top agents will move to smaller or form their own brokerage firm because they no longer need someone to help them or they do not wish to pay the higher fees that many larger brokerages charge. I have had clients who hired one top agent but only later to find out they only work with their assistant and never talk with the agent they thought they were getting.  Interview both and then make your choice by what you feel will work for you.

housing trend in north scottsdale

No one really knows what the market will be like in one year nor in 10 years for that matter.  If you look at history of Real Estate it does go in cycles and right now we are Hot! Hot! in 85255 because inventory is down and buyers are out.  Even though interest rates are going up...they are still better than just a decade ago; and Scottsdale sees more than our share of cash buyers from other parts of the country. If you are wanting to move but are waiting for prices to go back down or interest rates...it may be awhile.

I am sure you mean MLS which is Multiple Listing Service.  This is the website which realtors use to look for the most updated listings in their area and can forward listings to clients they are working with.

How can I get zillow to change the school information on my property? School info is incorrect.

Answer
Sometime school districts can divide an area even if you are closer to one school your house may be part of the other school district. Most realtors can check on this for you or try calling the schools directly and see about your options...some offer choices to residence.
