I like to operate on a hand-shake with people I can trust. Dana definitely fit this profile, and helped us make a very good home-buying decision about which we feel great. He was highly recommended to us by friends. He developed a good feel for us as a family and understood what we were looking for and needed in a home--something we had trouble finding in an agent the first time we started looking at properties. Dana kept us disciplined and helped us quickly line up the right house--and the right seller--well within the price range we initially discussed. He provided very effective guidance and advocacy during the search, negotiation, financing and closing processes. We're in great shape now in terms of a good home at a good value, in a good neighborhood and with a good budget. In short, Dana's a great agent that we'd work with again and would recommend to our friends without hesitation.
The only potential negative (and I don't think it was a true negative) was that we eventually circled back and purchased the first home we toured, and so we did not spend a tremendous amount of time searching through many, many properties looking for "perfection." Honestly, though, we were comfortable acting decisively because the home really satisfied our criteria--there's nothing wrong with being efficient! I'm sure if it hadn't worked out, Dana would have committed the necessary additional time to help us find the right place.
