The Home Report, LLC provides a pre-sale inspection service for single-family residential homes, townhouses, condominiums and moderately sized multi-family properties. Buying a home is the most important purchase in most people's lives and having the assistance of a professional to evaluate a potential purchase is essential. The purpose of a pre-sale inspection is to inform the buyers of the condition of the property they are considering purchasing so a more fully informed decision can be made. Although this is most important for the buyer, it also protects the seller and the real estate agent. Having as much information as possible about a property and all its components allows for an educated purchase and can avoid complications and unpleasant surprises at a later date.
The Home Report, LLC has been performing inspections in the Puget Sound region for just over twenty-two years and has completed over six thousand inspections during this period. The value of a home inspection cannot be over-emphasized. The peace of mind gained from knowing the real condition of a structure is invaluable.
As the founder of The Home Report, LLC, I have performed over six thousand inspections throughout the Puget Sound area [King, Pierce, Snohomish and Kitsap counties] and attempt to provide a friendly, informative and thorough inspection of each and every property. The Home Report, LLC was founded in 1989 and has been in operation for over twenty-two years. Home buying can be a very stressful time. My client's often tell me that my experienced, common sense approach goes a long way toward alleviating any confusion about the condition of a structure and the nature of maintenance and repairs.
Previous to being an inspector I have had over 17 years experience in design and construction preceded by architectural and engineering studies at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Washington. This included 11 years of general contracting and project management for residential and commercial construction, 6 years of electrical contracting [with Electrical Administrators and Journeyman's licenses for residential, commercial and industrial projects in Washington, Oregon and Idaho]. ~
I am a Washington State Licensed Home Inspector. As of September 1, 2009, the State of Washington initiated state licensing requirements for which experienced inspectors were allowed to provide proof of their previous background as a home inspector and then take a rigorous state exam. I am also a member of ASHI [The American Society of Home Inspectors], which is a national organization that provides an industry standard for the inspection field, for almost 20 years.
I didn't learn construction just from a book or an inspection course, but from many years of hands-on building, design and contracting. This direct experience allows me to give a balanced view of building construction from a real world perspective which can go a long way in clarifying the vast amount of information available regarding building techniques and maintenance. I enjoy sharing this information with my clients
