Fast, Responsive, and Best Price -- Twice! We interviewed a bunch of listing agents before we met John Newman. We had two very different houses to sell, and a move out of the area to make. We learned that John not only understands the Washington suburban real estate market, he understands marketing in general. For our specific needs he formulated an overall strategy, and for each house he gave us solid advice: who will buy it? what should the listing price be? what should be upgraded before listing? how should the house be advertised? Each of John's listings for us, months apart, in entirely different markets, ignited a bidding war. Each sold in a few weeks. Each returned significantly more money to us than we initially had hoped to get. Most important, John nursed us through both sales as well as our move out of the area as a single, seamless strategy with time to spare, worth much more to us in hard cash than he collected in net commissions. If we ever had a question about what was going on and what to do, we got him on the phone the same day to explain issues, discuss options, describe pros and cons, and promptly execute our decisions. We interviewed John Newman regarding the listing of our home. We were pleased to find that he was not "cut from the same cloth" as other agents. We had listed with other agents before and had tired of seeing agents who did not want to take the time to listen and carefully and become fully aware. John brought us "up to date" on changes in the real estate industry (our last purchase was 20 years ago). He is intelligent, articulate, knowledgable and generous with his time. The experience was much less stressful than it could have, and should have, been. They listened to what we wanted, help organize our ideas and worked with my lender. The tell you if the house is overpriced and will take my call in the middle of the night. The ONLY thing I was required to do was find a house that I loved. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking to buy.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $375K in Clinton, MD.

John Newman and Jeremy Brown of The Newman Group took the time to listen to what I was looking for. They took the time to identify exactly what I was looking for in a home. Space, look, areas to live, neighborhoods that are not crime ridden, have value for the price offered, have the potential to bring value back quickly on my investment. At the closing table I walked away with 26K equity in my home because the team negotiated and kept the price within the market. The Newman Group even advised on homes that were priced over the market and quickly researched to see if there were any issues with the house historically. Because of my work schedule I sometimes did not have access to leads until 11 pm at night. If there was a house that was of interest the team was responsive to my text message immediately the next morning setting up the opportunity to see the home as quickly as possible. The team never rushed our decision. The team was always available to answer my questions no matter how elementary it may have been. The team found my dream home within four months of engaging with us to look for homes and once we said yes did not leave any stone uncovered with the banks, or apposing offers that were on the house. They walked me through the entire step and has kept in touch with me following the purchase of my home. These guys really have what it takes. Give them a try or at least take the time to meet with them on the one on one basis. The team NEVER rushed me until it was time to get my offer submitted before other offers hit the bank. Then everyone understood the importance of getting documents signed and submitted so yes the press was on "if I wanted the house!!!" so yes they pushed at that time to "get er done!!!!" but that is the exciting part of it. They are now waiting for me to get my old house together so they can offer it up for rent. The whole pack is with this group. They made it happen when other agents could not.

We found John through a family referral. He is a great realtor and looks out for his clients best interest. He gave several suggestions for financing, one of which we used to finance our home. A huge plus was his expertise in the shortsale and 203k process, which incidentally is what and how we purchased.

John will be my family's first call when selling and looking for a new home.

John Newman is excellent. This is the second time we have used him because we would never go someplace else. We used him to sell our first home. Our townhouse was amongst 5 in the court for sale and ours sold first and fast!! He has tons of connections and is extremely knowledgeable. He responded quickly whenever we needed him and is thorough. And most importantly, he is HONEST. Hes not just looking to make a buck but he truly cares to make sure we make the best decisions for us.

John Newman is an amazing realtor! He was very straight forward when we had our first meeting, and said if you don't like me as your realtor just tell me and I can try to get somebody else to better suit your needs. He was very prompt showing us properties, and really worked hard to have an exact idea of the type of property my wife and I were interested in. He is without-a-doubt an amazing realtor, with a can-do attitude. If he says he will get it done, you can take that to the bank! I wouldn't hesitate to send anybody that I meet, that is looking to purchase a property, directly to him.
