In this down market, we became aware we likely would have to sell our beloved home as a short sale. We sat down with Jill, went over everything; the process, any sprucing up our house might need, and what we could expect as a timeframe, as well as an adjusted price, unfortunately not anywhere near what we paid for it-but we expected that after seeing the comps and what other houses our size were currently selling. We asked for references which she provided and we checked out. After thoroughly answering all our questions, and hearing from others whom she successfully navigated through short sales, we chose her, and we were not disappointed! Numerous open houses later, we had an accepted offer. Before we accepted that offer Jill thoroughly interviewed the prospective buyers to see if they were the kind of buyers that were willing to wait out the process of a short sale-in other words-did they want our house bad enough not to move on through the wait and were their finances in order? They were, and we accepted their offer based on Jill's interview with them. We all then waited through the process, which took several months. Jill kept us abreast and seamlessly sought an extension when it became necessary, keeping us in the loop. Everything worked out great and we are ever so grateful to Jill.
