Linda lacks professionalism. Didn't resolve issues or concerns. We had a concern about an agent that left the front door unlocked after they left and we were not home. She acted like it was no big deal and still has never followed up on it to my knowledge. We originally called her son John to list the property but when they arrived she made it very clear that she was in charge of the listing and that her son John only did the marketing of the house. So if you are calling John to list your house it won't be him it will be Linda who lists it and that you will have to deal with. Her personality shows her unseasoned experience. UPDATE: Linda emailed and said the agent that left our house unlocked appologized but said he turned the lock on the inside and closed the door. Funny the only way you can lock the front door is from the outside with the deadbolt. Seemed to me that Linda believes the agent and doesn't think we know our own house. UPDATE 2: There was someone wanting to show the house on a Saturday between 10:30-12:30. I was getting home very late from a business trip on Friday night around midnight-1am. I called the showing company and asked if we could schedule it from 12:00-1pm since I was getting home so late and they said they would get back to me. The next thing I know Linda is calling me and questioning me why I was rescheduling the showing. I explained to her that it was within the window of time that they wanted to show the house and that I was getting home late on Friday night. With an attitude she said Sunday is an option for them between 10:30-11, I said that would be fine. Saturday morning comes 10:30am and the clients show up to see the house. I accomodated them a half hour later and called to tell Linda she messed up but she would not take any responsibility for the situation. She still to this day has not appologized for her mistakes. SALES 101: Do not question or challenge a client ever ! Just because you list a house Linda doen't mean that it becomes your house to say and do as you please. Very disrespectful.
Nice home on the market for 89 days resulting in over 2500 views, 18 requested showings and 2 offers to purchase. Half of the showing requests were denied. One agent was let into the house by seller and the agent accidentally left the door unlocked when he left- he did apologize. Both offers fell not due to the home or financing but due to unfortunate personal circumstances of purchaser. This is very rare and to happen twice is unheard. We do understand that home selling and buying can be very stressful and we do try very hard to make the experience as smooth as possible. All of our clients are very important including this seller. We wish this seller the best.
