At Those Callaways, we don''''t make our clients dependent on a single agent. We empower our clients by serving them as a team. Each Those Callaways agent specializes in a step of the process and is guided by only one rule – Put the Client First!

Through honesty, competence, and care we keep you in charge.

At Those Callaways, your needs are number one. Your criteria, your schedule, your need for communication, your goals, and your dreams are all that matter. You must be apprised of everything. All decisions are yours and you must be fully aware of all the facts to make good ones. Be served. Be pampered. Be put first.

Our Story – My husband and I were first licensed in 1996 and we were terrible agents. Our broker kicked us out of the new agent class. Our first contract was a fiasco. When a neighbor asked us to list her home we told her, "You don''''t want us. We don''''t know what we are doing." Then – we changed.

We tell the story in our book, Clients First. We were 90 days into our careers when we decided to undo a deal. We represented both the buyer and the seller and it amounted to a lot of commission. Our seller was also buying a new home and our buyer would want to sell their home if we could only make a deal. But, it was too much house for our buyer and their low offer was too little for our seller. After eight counter offers back and forth they were still $5,000 apart. We knew it was a bad deal for both sides. We told them so and went home with nothing.

The next morning, we were changed. We could no longer just tell people whatever they wanted to hear. We had to tell them the truth. We could no longer bumble along. We had to become competent. And most of all, we could no longer care about the money and our needs. All that mattered from that day forward was our client''''s needs. We had to put our clients first.

In the years since, we have served more than 5,000 clients. They bring their family and their friends. They speak kind words and recommend us over and over because we give them a unique client experience.

EVERY DAY – We continue to be very much hands on in our business. In addition to overseeing team operations and contract negotiations, we counsel new clients, guide current clients, and chat with past clients every day. We would love the opportunity to personally serve your real estate needs and put you first.

Team reviews

Unfortunately, my partner and I would not recommend them. We felt very much alone. It felt like pulling teeth to get responses from the staff. Our painter refused to paint the walls the color they recommended, after painting large patches on 5 walls, because it looked so bad. We never did get help with another upgrade item that we asked about. They said they did not believe in staging which we believe hurt us. Their proofreading skills are not very good and they never did fix one of the incorrect items that we found on Zillow and asked them to correct. They tried to give us just some of the pages of the inspection report instead of the entire document. We simply could not understand having to beg for the full document. At least that is what it felt like. Their price recommendation was off and their strategy of reducing it repeatedly was not impressive. Find someone else who will respond to your questions and help you get your house ready.

Thank you so much for your feedback without which we would be unaware of your feelings. We truly regret your poor experience and wish to take full responsibility. After a thorough review of your files, you are absolutely correct regarding our ASID stager’s color suggestion, we did have to correct a spelling error, we were unable to make certain corrections on Zillow when your house sold a year ago as Zillow did not provide a method to do so, we normally provide Seller’s inspection report summaries and when you requested the entire report, we provided it within the hour. As to the price and the staging, it is our belief that it is our Seller’s home and while we provide comparables, price and the added cost of staging was your decision. Your home sold for the highest price the market would bring after several reductions you agreed to in an effort to find the correct price. Please be assured your review has been taken to heart and made us better.

Sold a home in 2015 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Worst experience we have ever had selling our home. Felt there was deceit and unethical practices throughout our sale as they pressured us into agreeing to pay for every detail identified on inspection while deal was negotiated with mother of a previous Callaway Realtor only to find out once the deal was done it was actualy the pevious Callaway Realtor who was purchasing our home. Feel we left about $10,000 on the table. Did not get any support or help from the Callaways, but they certainly got their commission and left us with literally 3wks to find a new home due to pressure of meeting closing date on short notice. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. Their motto "customers first" is not real, they do not walk the talk and only have their own best interests at heart!! Again, was the worst experience we ever had in buying or selling a home!  More Less

Dear Drew, Thank you for your feedback. We regret your unhappiness with the sale of your home almost two years ago. The first question we asked as we researched your review was, “Why now?”. We know that at the time, your home attracted an offer for less than you hoped and that the buyer had inspection/repair issues during escrow. The money was disappointing, but we shared that disappointment with you through the process and did our very best to negotiate in your best interests. So why now? Our only conclusion is that this must have something to do with the obvious misunderstanding of who the buyer was and who the buyer’s agent was. The buyer’s agent was NEVER a “Callaway Realtor”. Years ago, we were both agents at the same large brokerage company. At that time, there were more than 1,000 agents in six different offices all over the valley. Even then, we maintained a separate office and didn’t know most of them. We are currently acquainted with this agent through mutual transactions such as yours and he has a spotless reputation. The buyer was his mother, a disclosure made on the initial offer and he represented her while we represented you. We can understand your dismay if you were recently told that the buyer’s agent had a prior relationship with Those Callaways or a conflict of interest. We can assure you, this was not the case.

We used Those Callaways in both our purchase of a new home, and for the sale of our old home. They guided us through each process to make sure we understood what was happening, and what to expect next. We are very happy with their services.
