About Tiia

My name is Tiia Cartwright and I'm the owner and broker of Cartwright Realty. Before getting into real estate, I worked in both finance and public accounting. Being a tightwad, as my husband calls me, coupled with our not so great personal experiences with full priced agents is really what started this company.

In 2003, we were selling our first home in Atlanta. After being on the market for six months with a full priced agent (with no offers) and wondering what they were actually doing to sell out home, we found Duffy Realty of Atlanta. They charged $500 upfront and 1/3 of 1% at closing and our home sold in 30 days after listing with them. Their business model actually made sense to me! I was so impressed by them that I actually went to work for Rhonda Duffy. She has been the # 1 agent in GA and number 6 agent in US for 6 years now. Talk about learning the ropes from the best! While working for her, I listed some 700 properties. I have seen properties priced as low as $15,000 and all the way up to $5 million.

Friends, family and a new job brought us down to the Tampa Bay area. We listed our first property in early 2007 ( at the start of the recession, no less) and have been growing tremendously ever since. It is very rewarding to me personally to go to work each and every day knowing that we help people save money in this tough economic market.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $175K in Lutz, FL.

I listed my house with Cartwright Realty and immediately started having showings. Within two weeks my house was under contract. The whole process was easy and Tiia explained everything very clearly. The savings in the commission was icing on the cake. I have already referred her to two of my friends and they were happy I did.  More Less

Sold a home in 2014.

Horrific experience. I got what I paid for, and I paid upfront. I wish I could write a glowing review of Tiia, however that was not my experience. Please make sure she follows your contract. Not listening to Tiia resulted in my home selling for much more than what she said was the highest offer I could get. I knew better. Paying upfront fees was not worth it at all because I was stuck.  More Less

This seller was required to sell her home as part of a divorce settlement two years ago. I was later appointed by the judge to sell her and her ex-husband's home. I was empowered by the court to accept any offers. This customer made many efforts to derail the sale of the home - i.e. refused showings, evasive responses to my communications and/or lack of response altogether, etc. This eventually resulted in her being held in contempt of court, on the day we closed on the home. The truth is that I got her and her ex-husband top dollar for their home. We received numerous offers on the home, and the home sold for $127,000. I had court granted authority to accept any of the lesser offers, the highest offer was accepted. This was $7,000 over the appraised value of $120,000, and it was a cash sale! The sellers chose to go with our flat-fee listing, saving $3,175 in commissions!

Sold a home in 2014.

Working with Cartwright Realty was easy. Not only did they do everything they promised but they exceeded my expectations. All my questions were answered quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend their listing program!
