We Need to be Able to Ask Critical Questions Before Quoting
Hey Jennifer...I have no idea who "tim642621" is! Somehow, I must have gotten signed in as tim642621, instead of Tim Haag. Anyway, thanks for your reply and observations...Tim Haag
We Need to be Able to Ask Critical Questions Before Quoting
I just reviewed two requests for quotes, both of which had bankruptcies within the past 7 years. I'm not aware of any way to get information about the bankruptcy from the requester without submitting a complete quote and asking the question in the comment section or conditioning the quote on getting the right answer. I'd like to be able to ask if, and when, the bankruptcy was discharged. Or, in the case of past foreclosures, if, and when, the foreclosure was completed.
I believe these are examples of two critical questions that deserve answering before we submit a quote, and I'm sure there are other equally important questions. Our questions (and the requestor's responses) could be posted just as our quotes are posted for all to see and benefit from. I believe I could submit credible quotes for either or both of these requests, but I won't without having these basic questions answered, first.
How am I supposed to contact you?????
Hey LendMor...Karen and other staffers monitor posts and usually respond to questions or comments that pertain to Zillow. My guess is that one of them will respond to your post fairly quickly.
My experience with trying to contact the support staff (via the official link provided by Zillow) is similar to Mortgage Mentor's. I have never gotten a response. However, I have gotten responses from support staffers to posts that I've placed here on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace.
I hope you get a quick response...Tim
Colorado...go for it when you're 30...that should be "senior" enough. If you need a really old guy to vouch for you, let me know. :)
Hey Colorado,
Because I'm OLD!
Well, that and I've been a licensed real estate broker for 14 years. In 14 years, I've taught and learned from far more mortgage executives and professionals than most loan officers will associate with in their entire career.
Where can I find an explanation of the "flag quote" function? Its purpose? How it is monitored? By whom? Based on what criteria? Appeal process? .......Thanks.

Anthony...I received my first response 2 days ago from a quote I submitted. It was for a very low-end refi and I was the only one who quoted on it. I've established dialogue with the prospect and it looks like I will be doing a loan for him. Good luck to you...Tim
Zillow Mortgage Marketplace - Tips for Lenders
Please Karen or CoRinn3-- I need your help. Ironically, just after making the previous comment, I tried to delete a duplication of the State Name and Zip Code in my company address, thinking it would be considered just a typographical or editorial change and would not relegate me again to the plight of waiting for days to be re-approved.
Something must be done about this problem, particularly when, based on my personal experience (and that of other thread participants) there is no assurance of ever hearing from (let alone getting help from) support. I am out-of-business on Zillow now for however-many-days it take to be re-approved. This is outrageous. Please help. Thank you! --Tim

Come on "keepitreal1"...You need to "getreal".
If I were setting up phony accounts and "tim642621" was one of them, I wouldn't be idiotic enough to announce it by drawing attention to it in a discussion post for the entire Zillow audience and staff to view.
Now, however, you've raised my curiousity about how, and if, phony accounts do get set up on Zillow, considering the scrutiny I received when I set up my "real and only" account. Since you seem to have an inside track on this, perhaps you could share your insight with the rest of the Zillow subscribers and staff members so these phony accounts can be prevented and/or deleted.
Also, since the overriding philosophy here on the Zillow site is "transparency", and I don't see anything in your profile about yourself, except an anonymous avatar, perhaps you'd like to tell everyone more about yourself and your agenda. That would, after all, seem consistent with your Zillow user name "keepitreal1" or was that "keepitphony1"???...Tim Haag
