Hi Rachel,My answer to your question would be yes and no. The Thompson Creek Trail is beautiful partly because of its somewhat rugged natural appearance and that brings not only native plants but animals as well.My husband always says that whereever there is something eatable there is something to eat it. The trail is no exception. The vegetation makes a wonderful home for rodents and the like so, naturally there are snakes to eat them. Here in Claremont we have everything from harmless garter, gopher and black whip snakes to rattlers. My hubby and step sons have encountered them all on rides up and down the trail. My best advice would be to treat any snake you encounter as if it were poisenious and give it a fairly wide berth. They have also seen coyotes, lots of rabbits, rats, mice, squirrels and the occasional mountain lion. These are not regular occurances but the trail is as much theirs as it is ours. Oh, and in case you did not know the trail will be closed from 7/5 to 7/27 for maintenance. Take care,Tisza
Hi Sandy,I just checked the MLS and don't see the home listed. It may be a For Sale By Owner, or it may not have been posted there yet.If you have any other questions, feel free to give me a call (909) 837-8922
Have you ever had issues with snakes or wildlife near the trail?
