Sold a Single Family home in 2015 for approximately $875K in Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.

My wife and I worked with Tom when we relocated to DC from California. We knew early that we wanted to live on Capitol Hill, and Tom’s neighborhood expertise proved to be the perfect fit. During the purchasing process, Tom provided excellent, straight forward information. He was honest in pointing out things that were bad and good in a home, and helped us develop on eye for the important items given the market at the time. Tom’s incredible depth of knowledge about the neighborhood provided additional insight, including not only a 30-year history of every block or area, but also a balanced perspective between what we needed to be happy and what the house needed to have to be successful at resale.

After buying a bit of a fixer, Tom remained a resource for us as we worked through a significant kitchen renovation. He provided contacts and resources, as well as what would work best for resale, translating to which features were worth a significant investment and which weren’t. Our kitchen came out top-notch and this was largely due to Tom’s connections and guidance.

When the time came to sell, we didn’t have to think before asking Tom to help us. He and his team were a well-oiled machine. They handled everything in preparing the house for sale, bringing in an excellent eye for what would make our home look its best, while working within our time and budget constraints. Once the home was on the market, Tom’s experience and approach made for a short and painless (and successful) sale.

As stressful as home buying and selling can be, working with Tom was a blast. He made both sides of the experience not only stress-free and successful for us, but really enjoyable as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend Tom and his team, as they were the best we have ever worked with.
